HTC’s upcoming U12 flagship smartphone may not look very different from the U11 and U!1+ if a new report is to be believed. The report claims HTC will continue to use the Liquid Surface design language this year, albeit with a few changes. Huawei P20 Lite specs were also confirmed today, thanks to the handset receiving certification from TENAA in China.

Moving on to India-specific tech news, Xiaomi today teased the launch of a new smartphone on the 14th of this month. The Nokia 6 3GB RAM variant, meanwhile, has received a price cut in India. Read on below for more details.

Nokia 6 3GB RAM variant price in India cut

HMD Global had launched the Nokia 6 in India back in June last year at Rs.14,999. Last month, the company launched the 4GB RAM variant of the smartphone in India at Rs.16,999. The 3GB variant of the Nokia 6 has now received a price cut of Rs.1,500 in India and can now be purchased online from Amazon India for Rs.13,499. Quite obviously, the price cut is aimed at clearing the existing stocks of the Nokia 6 before the launch of the new Nokia 6 (2018). While HMD hasn’t confirmed a launch date yet, it is expected that the company will launch the new Nokia 6 in India in April.

HTC U12 to come in a new Matte White color

According to a new report, HTC U12 is going to be quite similar to the U11 and U11+ smartphones in terms of design, utilizing HTC’s liquid surface design language. It will feature a metal frame in the middle with curved glass on the front and back. The U12 is going to be IP68 certified as well, making it water and dust resistant. On the back, the U12 will have a dual-lens camera setup as well as a fingerprint sensor. HTC is expected to announce the U12 sometime next month, so there is a good chance that we will see more leaks continue to pour in this month. The key specs of the upcoming smartphone have already been leaked though, courtesy of leakster @LlabTooFeR. HTC’s next flagship is going to feature a 5.99-inch Quad HD+ resolution display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, up to 6GB of RAM, up to 256GB onboard storage, 12MP + 16MP dual rear cameras, 8MP selfie camera, and a 3420mAh capacity battery.

Huawei P20 Lite receives TENAA certification ahead of launch

After showing up on the US FCC website last month, the upcoming Huawei P20 Lite mid-range smartphone has been certified by TENAA in China with the model numbers ANE-TL00 and ANE-AL00. The smartphone’s listing on TENAA reveals a 5.84-inch sized display with 1080 x 2280 Full HD+ resolution, Kirin 659 octa-core processor clocked at 2.36 GHz, 4GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage, 16MP + 2MP dual rear cameras, 24MP selfie camera, 2900mAh capacity battery, and Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. The smartphone apparently measures 148.6 x 71.2 x 7.4mm and weighs in at 145 grams. Huawei will be announcing the P20 Lite along with the P20 and P20 Pro flagship smartphones at a media event in Paris on the 27th of this month.
