Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro: Next Sale Details and Price in India

The Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro will now go on sale on March 14, 2018, at 12 PM on Mi.com and Flipkart. It’s worth noting that the Redmi Note 5 also available at Mi Home stores across India. For the ones who prefer opting for Cash on Delivery (COD) option at checkout, they must know that the Redmi Note 5 Pro will no longer be available for that payment option on both the e-commerce platforms. Xiaomi has decided to not take COD orders for the Redmi Note 5 Pro to fight fraud purchases.

As for the pricing, the Redmi Note 5 comes at a starting price of Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant and Rs. 11,999 for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a price tag of Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage option and Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant.


The Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro were launched with Mi LED Smart TV 4 in India on February 14, 2018. Xiaomi claims to have sold more than three lakh units of the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro under three minutes of flash sale that was conducted on February 22 on both Flipkart and Mi.com.

The device is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset and Adreno 506 GPU. It is available in 3GB RAM/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage variants and sports a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. The device runs Android Nougat-based MIUI 9 out-of-the-box.

For optics, the phone boasts a 12MP rear camera with LED flash, PDAF, EIS, and f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP selfie shooter with Beautify 3.0 and LED selfie-light. Connectivity options on the Redmi Note 5 include Hybrid dual-SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. Redmi Note 5 Pro: Specifications and Features

The Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a 5.99-inch display just like the Redmi Note 5, but under the hood, it is powered by a more powerful Snapdragon 636 octa-core chipset. The phone is available in 4GB/6GB RAM variants with 64GB storage. Unlike the Redmi Note 5, the Redmi Note 5 Pro features a 12MP + 5MP dual-camera setup on the rear with PDAF, EIS, and LED flash. On the front, the phone bears a 20MP selfie shooter clubbed with LED flash and support for 4K video recording.

Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, GPS with A-GPS, IR blaster, Bluetooth 5.0, and GLONASS. The rear panel on the Redmi Note 5 Pro houses a fingerprint sensor, which is placed right below the camera sensor. The device runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat-based MIUI 9 out-of-the-box and is backed by a 4000mAh battery with support for fast charging.
