The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is definitely the best smartphone under Rs. 13,000, but if you aren’t a Xiaomi fan, then you might most probably be considering the Honor 7X or the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max, or the upcoming Motorola Moto G6 Plus. Let us have a brief look at the specification, features, and price in India of these three smartphones.

Moto G6 Plus vs Honor 7x vs Samsung Galaxy J7 Max: Price in India

The Motorola Moto G6 Plus hasn’t yet been announced anywhere in the world, so the pricing isn’t known yet. However, we are expecting the Moto G6 Plus to be priced similarly to the Motorola Moto G5S Plus, which is Rs. 14,999. Motorola will most probably be launching two variants of the Moto G6 Plus, one with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and other with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. According to us, the 32GB storage variant will be priced at Rs. 14,999, and the 64GB storage variant will be priced at Rs. 16,999.

The Honor 7X was launched on 5th December 2017 with a price tag of Rs. 12,999 for the 32GB storage variant, and Rs. 15,999 for the 64GB storage variant. Since the launch, the price of the Honor 7X hasn’t been slashed even once, and the device continues to sell at the same price of Rs. 12,999 and Rs. 15,999. Although, we expect the prices of the Honor 7X to be reduced in coming months, as Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 5, which is giving the Honor 7X a tough competition.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max was launched on 14th June 2017 with a price tag of Rs. 17,900. The price of the device has been slashed many times in order to keep up with the competition, and it currently costs Rs. 14,699. Samsung has a history of gradually decreasing the prices of its smartphones in order to keep up with the competition, and we think that the price of the J7 Max will drop even further after the launch of the Motorola Moto G6 Plus.

Moto G6 Plus vs Honor 7x vs Samsung Galaxy J7 Max: Features & specifications

The Motorola Moto G6 Plus is expected to feature a bezel-less display with FHD+ resolution, similar to the Honor 7X. The device is also expected to sport the Snapdragon 630 SoC, which is more powerful than the outgoing Snapdragon 625 SoC that resides in the Motorola Moto G5S Plus. As for the camera, the Moto G6 Plus is rumoured to follow the steps of its predecessor, and come with a dual-camera setup. Although, we expect that the device will have updated camera sensors for improved imaging. The Motorola Moto G6 Plus will most probably have Android 8.0 Oreo OS, 3000mAh battery, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Honor 7X has a 5.93-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass. The device has an in-house developed Kirin 659 SoC, which has a similar amount of processing power to that of the Snapdragon 625 SoC. However, the Kirin 659 lacks behind the Snapdragon 625 in graphics performance, due to which the gaming isn’t that smooth. The Honor 7X has a dual-camera setup on the back for capturing images with bokeh effect. The dual-camera setup has 16MP+2MP configuration, phase-detection autofocus, and an LED flash. At the front, the device has an 8MP camera that is capable of recording Full HD videos. The Honor 7X comes with Android 7.0 Nougat OS, a fingerprint scanner, and a 3340mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max sports a 5.7-inch Full HD display, and unlike the other two smartphones in the comparison, the J7 Max doesn’t come with a bezel-less design and the Gorilla Glass protection. The device houses MediaTek MT6757 SoC, which again isn’t as powerful as the SoCs in the other two smartphones, due to which the J7 Max isn’t as smooth as the other two devices. On the imaging front, the J7 Max features a 13MP camera with LED flash on the front and the back. Although, only the primary camera has autofocus. The home button of the Galaxy J7 Max doubles up as a fingerprint scanner, and the device comes with 3300mAh battery.

Moto G6 Plus vs Honor 7x vs Samsung Galaxy J7 Max: Verdict

According to us, the Galaxy J7 Max isn’t worth spending money on. The Honor 7X is far better than the Galaxy J7 Max, as it has a larger screen, more powerful processor, and better cameras. However, we think that the Motorola Moto G6 Plus will beat the other two smartphones in every criteria if it launches with the rumoured specifications. If you are in an absolute need for a smartphone, then you should go with the Honor 7X. If you aren’t in a hurry, then you should definitely wait for the Motorola Moto G6 Plus to launch in India.
