The list mentions the company’s previous-generation flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 8, as the first phone to get the official Android 8.0 Oreo update. Moreover, if the information is to be believed, the update will be released on March 30, 2018.
Apart from the Galaxy Note 8, some of the other popular smartphones from Samsung – Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge – are present in the list as well. The phones are scheduled to receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update from April 13, 2018. Last but not the least, smartphones in the Samsung Galaxy A (2017) series – Galaxy A3 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017) and the Galaxy A7 (2017) – will receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update from May 15, 2018. Considering that the Galaxy Note 8 was released six months ago with Android 7.1 Nougat. The phone should’ve been updated to Android 8.0 Oreo by now, but the update hasn’t been released yet. Samsung was instead busy in rolling out the Oreo update to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ after releasing multiple beta versions. Sometimes, the company had to pause the update roll out because of some rebooting issues. However, over the past one week, the South Korean company started the rollout once again for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ after fixing the bugs and adding the February 2018 security patch.
