OnePlus 5T price in India drops by ICICI cashback: Offer details, specifications, features


Starting today, the OnePlus 5T is being offered with a cashback discount of Rs. 1,500. The OnePlus 5T is the successor to the OnePlus 5, and it is currently the flagship smartphone of the company. The OnePlus 5T is also the highest selling smartphone in its price segment. The smartphone competes directly with the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, Nokia 8, and the Samsung Galaxy A8+. Let us have a detailed look at the cashback offer of OnePlus 5T.

OnePlus 5T: Offer details

The OnePlus 5T was launched in India on 16th November 2017 with a retail price of Rs. 32,999 for the 64GB storage variant, and Rs. 37,999 for the 128GB storage variant. The prices of the device have remained unchanged since its launch in India. However, the OnePlus 5T can now be bought with a cashback discount of Rs. 1,500. The cashback of Rs. 1,500 can be availed by using ICICI bank credit or debit card for payment. The offer is valid from 8th March 2018 to 14th March 2018. The cashback will be credited to the card holder’s account by 14th June 2018. The cashback is also applicable to EMI transactions. However, note that this offer can be availed only once per every ICICI credit/debit card user.

Apart from the cashback offer, the OnePlus 5T is also being offered with 1008GB data for 18 months from Idea, Rs. 250 Amazon Pay balance if the user streams video on the OnePlus 5T using Prime Video app, and up to 80% discount on eBooks of up to Rs. 500 in the Kindle app. The benefits don’t end there, OnePlus is also offering 12 months of accidental damage cover on the purchase of OnePlus 5T.

OnePlus 5T: Specifications and features

The OnePlus 5T features a 6.01-inch bezel-less Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device houses Snapdragon 835 SoC, which is currently the second most powerful processor from Qualcomm. The device is available with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The 6GB RAM variant has 64GB of storage, and the 8GB RAM variant has 128GB of storage. The OnePlus 5T has Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Oxygen OS 5.0.3 customisation. The device is expected to receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update in March 2018.

The OnePlus 5T has a 16MP + 20MP dual-camera setup on the back, and a single 16MP snapper at the front. The dual-camera setup at the back has phase-detection autofocus and dual-LED flash. The OnePlus 5T apart from its fingerprint scanner on the back, has face unlock feature. The face unlock feature, as the name suggests, unlocks the smartphone by scanning the user’s face through front-facing camera.
