The LG G7 is expected to come with a 5.8-inch QHD display with 3120×1440 pixels resolution and aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Design-wise, the G7 could be similar to the iPhone-X. Yes, by that, we mean that we could see the LG G7 flaunting that notch on the upper side of the front panel, just like the iPhone-X. If true, then the LG G7 will become the second Android phone after Essential Phone to come with notch design.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco, on the other hand, features a 5.5-inch P-OLED screen with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution and pixel density of 534PPI and 16:9 aspect ratio. There is Gorilla Glass 5 layer on the phone for protecting it from scratches and IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. Concerning design, the phone comes with a stainless steel frame and glass layers on both front and rear.


Lastly, the HTC U12 is rumoured to feature a 5.99-inch display paired with Quad HD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Going by HTC’s history of using Super LCD panels on its premium phone, we will most likely see the same panel on the HTC U12, precisely Super LCD 6 instead of an OLED panel.

Concerning hardware and software that constitute the overall performance, the LG G7 is tipped to come powered by a 2.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 845 processor clubbed with 4GB of RAM/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage, based on the variant. It could run Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box and a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button on the front. The phone could also feature face recognition feature like the iPhone X. It may come backed a 3600mAh battery to power the device.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco comes powered by a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone runs a near-stock version of Android 8 Oreo out-of-the-box. The phone has a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear panel below the camera sensor.

The HTC U12, on the contrary, is rumoured to come powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 octa-core chipset with Adreno 630 GPU. The device is tipped to debut in multiple configurations with up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage. Rumour has it that the HTC U12 could launch in India with a Hybrid dual-SIM configuration. It is most likely to run Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.

In the optics department, the LG G7 is expected to sport a 16MP+16MP dual camera setup on the rear with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), dual-LED flash, and f/1.6 aperture. On the front, it could feature an 8MP selfie camera.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco boasts a 12MP+13MP dual camera setup on the rear. The second sensor is a telephoto lens that is used for adding depth of field and enabling Bokeh effect. The rear camera sensors have f/1.75 and f/2.6 aperture values. On the front, the phone bears a 5MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording capability.

The HTC U12 is tipped to feature a 12MP+16MP dual-camera setup at the back with both the sensors likely to be sourced from Sony. For selfies, the phone could come with an 8MP camera.

The LG G7 is yet to be announced by the company so we have absolutely no idea about its pricing. However, going by LG’s price trend, the G7 could launch with a price tag of Rs. 59,990.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco was launched at 750 Euro, which converts to a rather hefty price tag of Rs. 60,000 for India. Of course, this is just the expected pricing strictly based on its launch pricing outside India. There are fair chances that HMD Global may launch the device at a lower price tag in India.

Lastly, the HTC U12 has also not been launched by the company yet. It’s expected pricing based on HTC’s previous flagship pricing in India could be around Rs. 48,990.

With the two devices in the comparison yet to go official, we can’t really give out a verdict. But if the rumoured specs are anything to go by, the LG G7 comes up with the best specifications and features in all the segments.
