Asus Zenfone 5 Lite vs Nokia 7 Plus vs Moto G6 Play: Price in India

As we’ve mentioned above, the three smartphones we are comparing haven’t been announced in India. So, the exact pricing isn’t known yet. Although, we expect them to be priced under Rs. 20,000. The Motorola Moto G6 Play will be an upgraded version of the Motorola Moto G5S Plus, and the G5S Plus is currently being sold for Rs. 15,999. So, the Moto G6 Play will come with a slight premium over the Moto G5S Plus. We are expecting it to be priced at Rs. 16,999 or Rs. 17,999.

The Nokia 7 Plus is the beefed-up version of the Nokia 6, and the Nokia 6 is currently sold for Rs. 16,999. So, the Nokia 7 Plus will at least set you back Rs. 19,999 for the base variant, and Rs. 21,999 for a higher storage/higher RAM variant. The Asus Zenfone 5 Lite is the successor to the Zenfone 4, and the Asus Zenfone 4 costs Rs. 15,999. So the Asus Zenfone 5 Lite will most probably be priced at Rs. 18,999.

Asus Zenfone 5 Lite vs Nokia 7 Plus vs Moto G6 Play: Display, Camera

The Asus Zenfone 5 Lite has a 6-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and bezel-less design. Same goes with the Nokia 7 Plus; it too comes with a 6-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and bezel-less design. Additionally, the Nokia 7 Plus comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which the Zenfone 5 Lite misses out on. The Motorola Moto G6 Play is rumoured to come with a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and bezel-less design. If the Moto G6 Play comes with the rumoured specs, it will lose out to the other two devices in the display department. Also, it would be absolutely pointless to spend over Rs. 15,000 on a smartphone that has an HD+ resolution display.

The Asus Zenfone 5 Lite has a 16MP dual-camera setup with phase-detection autofocus and LED flash. The Nokia 7 Plus also has a dual-camera setup but with 12MP + 12MP configuration. The Nokia 7 Plus dual-camera has phase-detection autofocus, dual-tone dual-LED flash, and Carl Zeiss optics. The Motorola Moto G6 Play is rumoured to feature a single 12MP primary camera, and its specifics aren’t known yet. According to us, the primary camera will at least have phase-detection autofocus and dual-tone dual-LED flash.

Asus Zenfone 5 Lite vs Nokia 7 Plus vs Moto G6 Play: OS, Performance, Battery

The Asus Zenfone 5 Lite has Snapdragon 630 SoC. The device is expected to come in two variants; one with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The Asus Zenfone Lite has Android 8.0 Oreo OS customised with ZenUI 5.0. The smartphone packs a 3300mAh battery, which is quite low for a smartphone of its price.

The Nokia 7 Plus houses the most powerful SoC of the lot, the Snapdragon 660. The Nokia 7 Plus will be the most powerful smartphone in its price range when it launches in India. The SoC is paired with 4GB RAM, and the device has 64GB of internal storage. The Nokia 7 Plus has 3800mAh battery and Android 8.0 Oreo OS with stock Android UI. We expect the Nokia 7 Plus to have a smooth and fast performance.

The Motorola Moto G6 Play is rumoured to pack Snapdragon 430 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. If the rumoured specs are true, the Moto G6 Play will be among the least powerful smartphones in its price range. The Moto G6 Play too will have Android 8.0 Oreo OS with stock Android UI. The Moto G6 Play is rumoured to come with 4000mAh battery.

Asus Zenfone 5 Lite vs Nokia 7 Plus vs Moto G6 Play: Verdict

According to us, considering the rumoured specs of the Moto G6 Play, it is not worth the money. The Asus Zenfone 5 Lite has a good display, powerful processor, and good camera hardware, but it still lacks behind the Nokia 7 Plus. If the Nokia 7 Plus gets the price right, it will be the best smartphone in its price range.
