JBL Soundgear is a portable speaker that is meant to be worn around your neck for a personal audio experience. Apparently, it is meant to provide an ear-free and hands-free experience of the sound. The JBL Soundgear is available through all the major retail channels, key Samsung Outlets and the company’s eCommerce website. It is priced at Rs. 14,999 in India, and is available in just one colour: Black.

The idea behind the JBL Soundgear is to carry your own portable sound zone with an incredible audio experience while being in touch with your surroundings minus the clutching of headphones against your ears. With your ears at ease, engaging in activities like browsing a video, doing household chores or office work becomes a much smoother experience.
The wearable speaker is wireless, of course, and can be connected to a device (tablets and smartphones) via Bluetooth v4.0, and also features aptX low latency. It also features Wi-Fi and a 3.5mm auxiliary port, and is compatible with Android, BlackBerry, iOS, and Windows. The battery back up impresses with 6 hours of non-stop playtime on a single charge. The company claims that users can have even better VR experience on devices such as the Samsung Gear VR, thanks to JBL signature sound.
