Vivo V9: Launch Date in India
It was being expected that Vivo will announce the smartphone on March 27th. However, it now appears that we won’t have to wait for such a long time as Vivo has confirmed that the phone is launching on March 23, 2018 in India. That’s not all. We have also stumbled upon the product page for the Vivo V9 on Vivo India’s official website, which also lists its specifications and images.
Vivo V9: Specifications, Features
Going by the detailed information found on the company’s website, the Vivo V9 will feature a 6.3-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution (2280×1080 pixels), resulting in an aspect ratio of 19:9. The display will also have an iPhone X-style notch, which you may or may not like. Under the hood, the smartphone will be equipped with the Snapdragon 626 chipset with 2.2GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 506 GPU. There will be 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory, and storage expansion through a microSD card slot (up to 256GB).
Moving on to the software part of the phone, the Vivo V9 will boot Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, which is impressive on Vivo’s part. However, with company’s customised user interface, Funtouch OS 4.0, will be a part of the phone’s software. The smartphone will also sport a dual-camera setup, with the sensors placed in a vertical fashion. The dual-camera setup consists of a 16MP primary sensor and 5MP secondary sensor. There’s an ability to click capture time-lapse images, live photos, portrait bokeh images. It can record 4K videos as well as slow motion videos.
At the front, the Vivo V9 features a 24MP selfie camera with a fixed-focus lens, accompanied by a soft LED flash. This front-facing camera will offer some interesting features, including AI Face Beauty, Gender Detection, AR Stickers, Face Beauty Video, Camera Filter, HDR, and much more. In terms of connectivity, the V9 features a dual-SIM card slot, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio port. Last but not least, the V9 will come packed with a 3260mAh battery.
Vivo V9: Expected Price in India, Colours
The Vivo V9 smartphone will be available in two colours in the Indian market: Pearl Black and Gold colours. While the price of the phone remains a mystery for now, it will be revealed on March 23, 2018, when the phone goes official in India. We are expecting the price of Vivo V9 to be around Rs. 24,000.
