Redmi Note 3 MIUI 9.5 stable update starts rolling out in India

Last year, Xiaomi had unveiled the MIUI 9 update based on Android 7.0 Nougat for several of its smartphones. The company even released the update even to some of its device which were released four years ago. Over then past few days, Xiaomi started rolling out the MIUI 9.5 update to its smartphones.

The company promised that this MIUI 9.5 update is coming to over 30 smartphones. The MIUI 9.5 Global Stable ROM has already been released for some Xiaomi smartphones, and the rollout started a few days ago. Now, the MIUI 9.5 Global Stable update has started rolling out for one of Xiaomi’s most popular smartphones, the Redmi Note 3. Apart from Redmi Note 3, Xiaomi also has confirmed that the MIUI 9.5 update will soon be released for the Redmi Note 4, Redmi 5A, Mi Max/Prime and the Redmi 3S/Prime starting from today, but in a phased manner.

MIUI 9: Features

The MIUI 9.5 software update for compatible Xiaomi smartphones brings some new tweaks. However, the most important feature in the update is “New Notification Shade with Quick Replies” for some of the handsets.

For now, we have not tested the feature since we’re just installing the update on our Redmi Note 3. However, we recommend you to stay tuned to us here to learn more about the software update.
