Over the past few weeks, we have been reporting about the launch of Xiaomi‘s first gaming smartphone. The phone will be released under company’s new sub-brand ‘Blackshark‘. Information about the existence of the phone was first found on AnTuTu and Geekbench databases a few days ago, and some key features of the device were revealed. Now, there some more information about the Blackshark gaming phone was revealed by the company itself.
Blackshark Gaming Phone: Existence Confirmed
Blackshark’s official account on social networking website Weibo has confirmed that its first smartphone will be powered by the best-in-class processing chipset for Android smartphones, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. This is does not come as a surprise to us since we were aware of this fact through leaked benchmarks. However, we can now be assured that it will have one of the fastest chipsets, because it has been confirmed by the company.
Blackshark Gaming Phone: Possible Specifications
Going by the information available right now, the first-ever smartphone from Blackshark could offer high-end specifications as gaming needs powerful hardware. It is believed to feature aviation-class cooling system, a top-class digital signal processor (DSP), and a display with higher frame rate, something similar to that of the Razer phone. Furthermore, the smartphone has already been confirmed to sport a screen with Full HD+ resolution (2160×1080 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 18:9.
Apart from the Snapdragon 845 chipset, a cherry on the cake is that the device will also come be packed with a whopping 8GB of RAM so that users can run experience flawless gaming even while running high-end and large-sized games. The phone is expected to be equipped with 128GB or 256GB of UFS storage. Last but not least, the handset managed to score 2,70,680 points in the AnTuTu benchmark test. The numbers are indeed great and on par with the likes of the Galaxy S9 and the Zenfone 5, which scored 2,65,267 points and 2,38,129 points, respectively.
Blackshark Gaming Phone: Launch Date?
The company has just started teasing the phone and its features, and launch date hasn’t been revealed yet. However, since the phone has hit databases of benchmarking tools, and the teaser has been released, the company might launch of the device in China in a matter of weeks.
