The war of telcos in India has been touching new limits since the invasion of Reliance Jio. While Jio is still riding high on its 4G revolution, other companies like Bharti Airtel are not leaving stone unturned to stay in the competition. The company launched various data plans to suit the need of its prepaid customers. One of its latest launches includes the Rs. 69 recharge pack for its select prepaid subscribers. Keep reading to know what Airtel is offering under this new recharge pack.
Airtel Rs. 65 Prepaid Recharge Pack: Features and Validity
Bharti Airtel’s latest Rs. 65 recharge pack offers 1GB of data for 28 days. However, it must be noted that the data provided in the pack is not 4G but 2G or 3G for 28 days. We know, that’s kind of a deal breaker especially when the brand is pitting itself against Jio. That’s not the end of the road for Airtel subscribers who look better data capacity and speed, there is another plan worth Rs. 98 offering 2GB of 4G/3G data for 28 days.
If Airtel’s Rs. 65 plan appeals you then we must tell you that it is limited to select customers, as reported by TelecomTalk. The report also states that the same users will also be given 5GB of data in the Rs. 98 plan. To check if you belong to that chunk of users, then you need to install the My Airtel app and see if the plan is available for you.
Airtel Rs. 65 Prepaid Recharge Pack vs Better Plans By Reliance Jio
It goes without saying that Airtel’s Rs. 65 plan faces major competition from Jio who offers better services with Rs. 49 plan. Jio’s Rs. 49 plan offers 1GB 4G data and unlimited voice calling for 28 days. Then there is Rs. 98 recharge pack from Jio that provides 2GB 4G data and unlimited voice calling clubbed with 300 free SMSes and subscription to Jio apps for 28 days. Jio clearly wins the recharge pack game here with its better speeds and cost when compared to Airtel’s Rs. 65 plan that settles at 2G/3G speeds.
Airtel 4G VoLTE Beta Testing
However, Airtel’s battle against Jio does not end with just recharge packs. The company had earlier launched Rs. 49 pack offering 1GB of 3G/ 4G data with a validity of only one day. Besides, the company is also running offers for Airtel VoLTE Beta testers, providing them with 30GB of free data. The total data offered to the testers is divided into three phases, the first phase constitutes 10GB of data that is offered on downloading and activating the VoLTE switch, the second phase includes 10GB of data, which can be availed after registering feedback by the end of 4th week of testing. The final and third phase with 10GB data is offered when the feedback for the 8th week of trial is registered by the user.
The company claims that its VoLTE technology includes features like HD voice calling, multitasking, and instant call connect (touted to be 3x faster than standard calls). Airtel launched VoLTE in Andhra Pradesh, Chhatisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, and Telangana.
