The Oppo F7, which is the latest in the F-series from Oppo, has made its debut and its sales are well underway in India. The F7 from Oppo, which launched in the second half of March, caught the attention of smartphone enthusiasts mainly because it was among the first phones to appear on shelves that had a notch at the top of the display, like the iPhone X. The Vivo V9, which had a notch as well and almost identical specs as the Oppo F7, was launched around the same time and is currently the biggest competitor for the Oppo device.
The good news is that starting today, the Oppo F7 will be available for purchase both offline and on Flipkart. Read on to know the details.
Oppo F7: Price in India, Sale
Oppo conducted its first ever flash sale for the Oppo F7 on April 2nd, 2018. The device was available at all 777 Oppo stores as well as online, exclusively on Flipkart. But starting today, the device will be made available for regular sale, both online and the 777 Oppo stores.
There are two variants of the Oppo F7 — a 64GB version and a 128GB model. While the former is priced at Rs. 21,990, the latter variant is priced at Rs. 26,990. The Oppo F7 was launched in regular and special edition colours: Solar Red, Moonlight Silver, and Diamond Black options are available for buyers to choose from.
Oppo F7: Offers
The Oppo F7’s price is currently inclusive of an introductory offer, which gives you a discount of Rs. 1000. Besides this, you also have an ongoing offer from ICICI which gives you a cashback of 5% if you avail EMI transactions using an ICICI bank credit card. And if you’re an Axis Bank Buzz Credit Card user, you get 5% off the price if you purchase the F7 using the card. There is also something for Jio users, who can get up to Rs.1200 cashback and additional data on recharge of Rs. 198 or Rs. 299 per month.
Oppo F7: Specifications, Features
The Oppo F7 features a 6.23-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The screen has a pixel density of 405 pixels per inch (ppi) and comes with Gorilla Glass protection. The dual SIM phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 chipset and has eight cores, with four high-performance cores and four efficiency cores clocking 2.0GHz each. The graphics processing is taken care of by the Mali-G72 GPU.
The Oppo F7 comes in 4GB 64GB and 6GB 128GB configurations, and also features a dedicated microSD card for expandable memory. You can add up to 256GB via a memory card. The F7 runs Android 8.0 on a custom Android fork, ColorOS. The proprietary Android-based operating system from Oppo is currently at version 5.0 on the F7.
Unlike other options in this price range, the F7 strangely skips the dual rear camera trend, offering a single lens setup on the back. The Oppo F7 has a 16MP f/1.8 rear primary camera, which can also record full HD videos at 30 frames per second. Again, it is strange that 4K video recording is missing from the Oppo F7, as other mid-range phones do let you shoot 4K. The camera features phase detection autofocus, and on the software front, offers facial recognition and real-time HDR. The Oppo F7 lives up to its ‘selfie expert’ moniker by packing an impressive 25MP f/2.0 selfie snapper on the front. You can rest assured that you will get a lot of great vanity shots out of this phone.
The Oppo F7 has a battery with a capacity of 3400mAh battery.
