HyperX, the gaming division of Kingston, has announced that it has started shipping its second gaming mouse, dubbed the Pulsefire Surge. The gaming mouse offers a combination of performance and customization that will appeal to both professional and enthusiast gamers. First unveiled at CES 2018 earlier this year, the Pulsefire Surge has won the prestigious Red Dot 2018 Design Award.
“We consulted with professional gaming teams and gaming enthusiasts on the form, fit and features throughout the design process of the Pulsefire Surge,” said Marcus Hermann, business director, HyperX. “Our goal was to complement the HyperX suite of gaming peripherals with a high-quality mouse, offering a combination of performance and customization for professional and enthusiast gamers alike. The Pulsefire Surge meets these standards of excellence.”
HyperX Pulsefire Surge Gaming Mouse: Price, Availability
The HyperX Pulsefire Surge gaming mouse is now available from HyperX retail partners in select markets around the world. In the US, the gaming mouse is priced at $69.99 (Rs.4,500 approx.). While there is no word yet regarding local availability, we do expect the gaming mouse to be launched in India soon.
HyperX Pulsefire Surge Gaming Mouse: Features, Specifications
The HyperX Pulsefire Surge gaming mouse is equipped with a Pixart 3389 sensor with native DPI up to 16,000 DPI. You can also choose from 800 / 1600 / 3200 DPI presets. Like many of its rivals, the HyperX Pulsefire Surge gaming mouse comes with reliable Omron switches that have been rated for 50 million clicks. One of the key features of the Pulsefire Surge is its 360-degree RGB lighting effect with a unique light ring. Users will be able to customize the LED lighting using the HyperX NGenuity software. Apart from LED lighting customization, the mouse also allows users to customize sensor performance settings, macros and DPI settings. Thanks to onboard memory, users can save up to three profiles for on the go gaming.
The mouse comes with a flexible, braided 1.8m cable that helps with smoother movements and is also claimed to be highly durable. In terms of design, the Pulsefire Surge features a symmetrical design with large skates that aid enhanced gliding and smoother movements on all surfaces. Moving on to dimensions, the HyperX Pulsefire Surge measures 120.24 x 40.70 x 62.85mm and weighs 130 grams with the cable.
