Nokia recently announced the launch of three new Android smartphones in India. The new products that have been launched in India include the flagship Nokia 8 Sirocco, the Nokia 7 Plus and the Nokia 6 (2018). All three devices were first showcased at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. This is also the first time a Nokia 7 series handset has officially come to India. Last year’s Nokia 7, for example, was never officially released in India. In this article, we will compare the Nokia 7 Plus to two upcoming handsets that could see the official light of the day in the months to come. These new handsets include the recently announced Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s, and the Mi 7 – another flagship class handset from the Chinese electronics giant. Let us delve straight into the comparison now.

Nokia 7 Plus vs Xiaomi Mi 7 vs Mi Mix 2S: Price in India

Of the three handsets in this comparison, we currently only know the price of one handset – the Nokia 7 Plus. This handset has been priced at Rs.25,999 in India and comes in a single version. The Mi MiX 2s and the Mi 7 are both flagship class handsets and going by the price tags of the previous versions of these handsets, we can expect both of them to be priced above the Rs.30,000 mark in India. That said, we would reserve a judgment only after the final prices of both these handsets are out. We are, in fact, also not sure if both these handsets would even make it to India. The Mi 6, for example, did not officially come to India.

Nokia 7 Plus vs Xiaomi Mi 7 vs Mi Mix 2S: Design, Display

The Nokia 7 Plus comes with a large 6-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels.  As evident from the screen resolution, the display is in the 18:9 aspect ratio. The handset also boasts if a bezel-less design and uses Gorilla Glass 3 for scratch protection and durability. The phone ends up with a PPI density score of 403.

The Mi Mix 2S also gets a large 5.99-inch IPS LCD display like the Nokia 7 Plus. The display resolution and aspect ratio also remain identical; 1920 x 1080 pixels and 18:9. There is a difference, however, as far as scratch protection is concerned. The Mi Mix 2S uses the newer Corning Gorilla Glass 4, unlike the Nokia 7 Plus that gets by with Gorilla Glass 3. The PPI density figure for the Mi Mix 2S also remains the same as the Nokia 7 Plus at 403 PPI.

The Mi 7 will also feature an IPS LCD display with full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels  – again identical to the two other handsets in this comparison. The display size, however, is slightly smaller as this phone gets a 5.65-inch display as opposed to the 6-inch panels on the other two handsets. The mi 7 could also get an unspecified version of Gorilla Glass layer for scratch resistance.
