After launching the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, Samsung is now expected to bring out the next flagship in its Note series. The company seems to be gearing up for the big launch of the Galaxy Note 9 sooner than expected, this year. As usual, the leaks about the upcoming Samsung flagship have already started making rounds on the rumour mill. One of the latest leaks has revealed the display and battery information on the Note 9.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9: Display and Battery

The latest rumour states that the Galaxy Note 9 will come with a more prominent 6.4-inch display and a larger 4000mAh battery. The leak first appeared on Twitter, debunking that the flagship will come with a 6.4-inch display in place of the 6.3-inch screen. Moreover, the phone is expected to feature Infinity Display 2.0 design with lesser bezels when compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 8. The presence of advanced Infinity Display design will make the Note 9 better than the Galaxy S9+.

As for the battery too, the Galaxy Note 9 will also pack a better battery capacity than the Galaxy Note 8. The phone could come with either a 3850mAh battery or a 4000mAh battery, and if the rumour stands true, then the Note 9 will be the first Note to feature such large battery. The Galaxy Note 8 came with a 3300mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9: Other Rumoured Specs and Features

Another leak about the Galaxy Note 9 hints that the flagship could be Samsung’s debut in the notch club. The design that has already been utilised by several other manufacturers like OnePlus, Vivo, Oppo, Asus, and more.

A concept render video of the Galaxy Note 9 imagines the upcoming phone with a tall display and notch on top of the front panel. Of course, these are just the rumours and should be taken with a pinch of salt. Some of the other reports have also hinted otherwise i.e. the Galaxy Note 9 may retain the same design as the Note 8, without the notch. It seems possible too as Samsung retained the Galaxy S8 design of the Galaxy S9.

Some of the anonymous insider reports coming from South Korea have hinted that Galaxy Note 9 could come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or 855 or an Exynos 9820, depending on the region. The phone may feature 12MP+12MP dual camera setup on the rear and an 8MP camera on the front. It could come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/256GB storage. The leak also suggests that the Galaxy Note 9 could come out in Midnight Black, Titanium Black, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple colour options.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9: Expected Launch Date and Price in India

A report from SamMobile has earlier suggested that Samsung may bring out the Galaxy Note 9 sooner than expected. They have cited information that Samsung has already started the software development for the phone and is testing two builds – N960FXXE0ARB7 and N960FXXU0ARC5.

To recall, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 8 on August 23, which makes it possible that its successor, the Galaxy Note 9 also follows the same launch schedule. However, another report suggests that Samsung may also launch the Note 9 in July this year.

As for the pricing, the Galaxy Note 9 could be launched at a starting price of £869 (approximately Rs. 80,731). These are just the rumours, the final launch pricing of the device could be entirely different from what’s being suggested now.
