Mi A2 vs Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo vs Nokia 6 (2018): Camera
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo is the first smartphone from the company under Rs. 20,000 to have a dual-camera setup. The dual-camera setup has one 13MP sensor and one 5MP sensor. However, the primary camera setup still runs on contrast-detection autofocus, and that is very disappointing as other more affordable smartphones feature phase-detection autofocus, which is faster and more accurate than the contrast-detection autofocus. Also, the J7 Duo misses out on 4K video recording, which is a must for a mid-range smartphone.
The Nokia 6 (2018) has a single 16MP primary camera. The camera is aided by phase-detection autofocus and dual-tone dual-LED flash. The camera lens is sourced from Carl Zeiss, which might result in better image quality. The Nokia 6 (2018) can also record 4K videos. Th front-facing camera of the device is an 8MP autofocus unit.
The predecessor of the Xiaomi Mi A2 had 12MP + 12MP dual-camera setup at the back. The Mi A2 is expected to feature an updated dual-camera setup; most probably 20MP + 8MP configuration. The primary camera is expected to have dual-pixel phase-detection autofocus and dual-tone dual-LED flash. The Mi A2 will also have 4K video recording capability.
Mi A2 vs Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo vs Nokia 6 (2018): Performance
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo has Exynos 7870 SoC. Though the SoC is new, it is a lot weaker than the processors found in the Nokia 6 (2018) and other smartphones of the same price category. As a result, the device might have sluggish performance. The Galaxy J7 Duo runs on Android 8.0 Oreo OS customised with Samsung Experience UI.
The Nokia 6 (2018) houses Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. The Nokia 6 (2018) is also an Android One smartphone, which means that it has a bloatware-free OS. The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo OS. The combination of powerful processor and well-optimised UI, the Nokia (2018) has a smooth performance.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 is rumoured to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. The Xiaomi Mi A1 was an Android One smartphone, and it had a very fast and smooth performance. The performance of the XIaomi Mi A2 is expected to be even better.
Mi A2 vs Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo vs Nokia 6 (2018): Battery
The Nokia 6 (2018), as well as the Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo, pack a 3000mAh battery. However, only the Nokia 6 (2018) features fast charging. The Xiaomi Mi A2 is expected to pack a 3000mAh battery, and it might feature Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging.
Mi A2 vs Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo vs Nokia 6 (2018): Verdict
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo would be our last choice as the device has a lower resolution display, weaker processor, no 4K video recording, and no fast charging either. The Nokia 6 (2018) is an excellent smartphone, and we suggest you buy it, as it has everything that is expected from a smartphone of its price range. However, if you can wait till Xiaomi launches the Mi A2, you might have a chance at getting a better smartphone, as the Mi A2 might have a larger display, more compact body, more powerful processor, and better camera hardware than the Nokia 6 (2018).
