Motorola has launched the Moto G6 Plus internationally, and it is expected to launch in India soon. Once the device launches, it will fall into the lower mid-range price category. Currently, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Nokia 6 (2018) are the most popular devices in the lower mid-range price category. So, how does the Motorola Moto G6 Plus holds against the competitors? Moto G6 Plus vs Redmi Note 5 Pro vs Nokia 6 (2018): Price in India

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro comes in two variants. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant costs Rs. 13,999, and the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant costs Rs. 16,999. The Nokia 6 (2018) comes in only one variant, and it costs Rs. 16,990. The Indian pricing of the Motorola Moto G6 Plus hasn’t been revealed yet. In Brazil, the Moto G6 Plus costs EUR 299 (approximately Rs. 24,000). However, in India, the device is expected to launch at Rs. 16,999.

The Motorola Moto G6 Plus has an 18:9 aspect ratio IPS LCD bezel-less display. The display measures 5.9-inches, it has Full HD+ resolution, and it is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass. The Nokia 6 (2018) is the only smartphone in the comparison to miss-out on bezel-less display; the display has 5.5-inch size, Full HD resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and IPS LCD technology. 

Moto G6 Plus vs Redmi Note 5 Pro vs Nokia 6 (2018): Camera

The Motorola Moto G6 Plus has a 12MP + 5MP dual-camera at the back. The primary cameras are aided by phase-detection autofocus and dual-tone dual-LED flash. The primary camera can also record 4K videos, which at the moment, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro can’t. The G6 Plus has an 8MP front-facing camera, and it has an LED flash. 

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro also comes with a 12MP + 5MP dual-camera setup; it has phase-detection autofocus, and a single LED flash. The front-facing camera of the device is a 20MP unit. As we’ve mentioned above, the device can’t record 4K videos. The device might soon get 4K video recording support through an OTA update. 

The Nokia 6 (2018) has a single 16MP primary camera with Carl Zeiss lens, phase-detection autofocus, and an LED flash. The primary camera can also record 4K videos. The Nokia 6 (2018) has an 8MP autofocus front-facing camera that can record Full HD videos.

The Motorola Moto G6 Plus is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC. The base model of the device will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while the top-tier model will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo OS. The Nokia 6 (2018) is also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC; it is mated with 4GB of RAM. The Nokia 6 (2018) is an Android One smartphone featuring Android 8.0 Oreo OS.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is the most powerful smartphone in the comparison, thanks to the Snapdragon 636 SoC. The device can be bought with either 4GB of RAM or 6GB of RAM; both the RAM variants will have 64GB of storage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro ships with Android 7.1.1 Nougat, but it will soon get the Android 8.0 Oreo update. 

The Nokia 6 (2018) has a 3000mAh battery, the Motorola Moto G6 Plus has a 3200mAh battery, while the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has a 4000mAh battery. All the three smartphones also support fast charging. 

Moto G6 Plus vs Redmi Note 5 Pro vs Nokia 6 (2018): Verdict

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is clearly the winner of this comparison as it has the most powerful processor, highest resolution front-facing camera, largest battery, and the largest screen among the three devices. Now, between the Moto G6 Plus and the Nokia 6 (2018), we think that the Moto G6 Plus has a slight edge, as it has a bezel-less display, dual-camera at the back, and a splash resistant body, which leaves the Nokia 6 (2018) with the last position.
