Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 is priced at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage version and Rs. 11,999 for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant. The Honor 9 Lite’s price in India starts at Rs. 10,999 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant while the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant retails at Rs. 14,999.

It must be quite noticeable how closely these phones have been priced. This proximity in terms of pricing makes it even more confusing to choose the best among three.

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M1) bears a 5.99-inch IPS LCD screen with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The Redmi Note comes with a 5.99-inch IPS LCD screen with 18:9 aspect ratio, minimal bezels, and Full HD+ 1080×2160 pixels resolution. While the Honor 9 Lite, on the other hand, features a 5.65-inch IPS display bearing Full HD+ 1080×2160 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.

All the three phones have the same resolution and aspect ratios, but if you do not like a smaller display then the Honor 9 Lite loses by a few decimal of inches here.

It runs stock Android 8.0 Oreo without any custom UI on top. The Redmi Note 5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage. It runs Android 7.1 Nougat-based MIUI 9. An octa-core Huawei HiSilicon Kirin powers the Honor 9 Lite 659 SoC paired with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage options. The phone runs Android Oreo-based EMUI 8.1 OS.

In this segment, the Zenfone Max Pro takes the cake with its powerful SoC. The Redmi Note 5 takes the second spot.
