Airtel Launched Rs.129 Recharge Pack to take on Jio: Offers 1GB Data Per Day, Hello Tunes for 28 Days

Airtel has launched a new package aimed at customers who like to set caller tunes. It offers unlimited calls and 1GB 4G internet data for 28 days. This competes directly with Reliance Jio’s Rs 98 pack.

Bharti Airtel has launched another new recharge pack in order to strengthen its hold in the market amidst the ongoing turbulence caused ever since Jio’s arrival. Geared more towards consumers interested in caller tunes, the new recharge pack that has launched is priced at Rs.129, making it relatively cheaper when compared to a similar package Airtel launched recently which was priced at Rs.219. The new plan also seems to compete directly with Jio’s alternative which provides identical benefits while being priced at Rs.98.

Airtel Rs.129 Recharge Pack: Hello Tunes, 4G data, and Other Benefits

On recharging with the Rs.129 Airtel prepaid plan, you will receive unlimited local, national, and roaming voice calls without any FUP restrictions. Additionally, The pack offers 1GB of 3G/ 4G data along with 100 SMS per day. You also get the option of setting any caller tune of your choice with this pack, which will be valid for 28 days. Any new caller tune of your choice can be set either by requesting it via SMS or call or subscribing via Wynk Music app.

One thing to note here is that not all are eligible for this offer. You will need to visit the Airtel website or open the MyAirtel app to check your eligibility. In case you are not eligible for this pack, the same Rs.129 recharge will instead offer 220 local and STD minutes for 28 days.

Airtel Rs.219 Recharge Pack: Hello Tunes and Other Benefits

In case you needed more data with the same benefits of this new plan, then you can opt for the Rs. 219 pack instead. This offers the same caller tune service along with unlimited local and STD calls, free roaming, up to 100 SMS per day. The extra price offers you a bumped up data package of 1.4GB 4G access per day. Unlike the Rs.129 plan, this plan is not as limited in its release and can be availed by more users across India.

Airtel Rs.129 Recharge Pack vs Jio Rs.98 Pack

The closest offer from Jio that offers similar benefits as the Rs.129 Airtel prepaid pack costs Rs.98. This pack also offers unlimited local and STD calls, 100 SMSes per day and additionally comes with 2GB of 4G data per day. This pack also comes with a validity of 28 days. For Jio customers, caller tunes are free with every recharge pack.

Other Airtel Recharge Packs

If you are an Airtel user and are not interested in the Hello Tunes offer, then Airtel does offer a Rs.99 prepaid recharge pack that offers unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and 1GB of 4G data for 28 days. Another equivalent to the Rs.219 pack costs Rs.199 and offers unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and 1.4GB of 4G data for 28 days. On the other hand, if someone is interested in a package that exclusively offers Hello Tunes subscription, then they can go with the Rs.36 plan which offers caller tune service for 28 days. Another plan priced at Rs. 146 offers the same benefit but with a validity of six months.

Airtel had recently launched two new Rs. 249 and Rs. 349 recharge packs that offered more 4G data. The Rs. 249 recharge pack includes 2GB data per day for a validity period of 28 days. The Rs.349 recharge pack offered 3GB of data usage per day, offering 84GB of total 4G data. The company also revised its existing Rs. 549 and Rs. 799 recharge packs. The Rs. 549 prepaid recharge plan now provides 3.5GB of 4G data per day, while the Rs. 799 pack now offers 4GB of 4G data per day.
