The mid-range segment of smartphones in India is interesting thanks to impressive technology trickling down from flagship models, and it also helps that budget segments already offer excellent features and specs. This translates to some great phones that offer solid value for money in the 25k range. And today we have three phones that represent the best of this pricing bracket — we’re talking about the Samsung Galaxy A6, the Nokia 7 Plus and the Honor View 10. These three phones are all brand new releases and choosing between these three can be a bit tricky. So let’s go ahead and take a closer look at these devices and choose the best among the three.
Samsung Galaxy A6 vs Nokia 7 Plus vs Honor View 10: Price in India
We might know all about the Samsung Galaxy A6, thanks to its upcoming release in Indonesia. What we don’t have an official confirmation on, is the India launch date. We expect an announcement soon enough, however, and our guess is that the device will be priced at approximately Rs. 25,000. The Nokia 7 Plus was unveiled two months ago, in February, and is currently priced at Rs. 25,999. The Honor View 10, which made its debut at the beginning of the year, carries a price tag of Rs. 29,999.

The Nokia 7 Plus, in comparison, has a 6-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. It has a pixel density of 403ppi and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The Honor View 10 offers the same resolution, and therefore aspect ratio, as the Nokia 7 Plus and even the same pixel density. Samsung Galaxy A6 vs Nokia 7 Plus vs Honor View 10: Performance
The Samsung Galaxy A6 is equipped with a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 Octa chipset, whereas the Nokia 7 Plus features an octa-core Qualcomm SDM660 Snapdragon 660 under the hood. The Honor View 10 ships with a HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset, which is the same processor powering Huawei’s latest flagship phone, the P20 Pro.
All three phones offer Android Oreo — while Samsung and Honor customise their respective Android operating systems, the Nokia 7 Plus will offer more of a stock experience.
The A6 will come in 2GB 32GB and 4GB 64GB configs, whereas the Nokia 7 Plus will only come in a 6GB RAM 64GB ROM variant. The Honor View 10 offers 6GB RAM paired with 128GB of internal storage.
Samsung Galaxy A6 vs Nokia 7 Plus vs Honor View 10: Camera
The Samsung Galaxy A6 comes with a 16MP (f/1.7) primary shooter, unlike the other two phones, which are equipped with dual lens systems. The Nokia 7 Plus features a 12MP+13MP lens combo, packed with gyro electronic image stabilisation EIS and dual pixel phase detection autofocus. Comparatively, the Honor View 10 has a 16MP+20MP rear camera configuration with 2x lossless zoom and phase detection autofocus. While the A6 can record 1080p at 30 frames per second, the Honor View 10 and Nokia 7 Plus both have the ability to record 4K videos at the same frame rate.
For selfies, the A6 is equipped with a 16MP (f/1.9) front shooter. The Nokia 7 Plus too has a 16MP selfie snapper, whereas the Honor View 10 has a 13MP front camera.
Samsung Galaxy A6 vs Nokia 7 Plus vs Honor View 10: Verdict
Though the Nokia 7 Plus came really close, we’re still going to go with the Honor View 10. The Honor View 10 is, however, more expensive than the other two by about 5k, and that can be a dealbreaker for some buyers. In which case we would wholeheartedly endorse the Nokia 7 Plus, which is an excellent phone as well.
