Sony X9000F 4K HDR TV series launched in India: Price, Features, Specs


Sony today announced the launch of its new 4K HDR X9000F series in India. The X9000F series succeeds the X9000E series from last year, bringing along some key upgrades such as the X1 Extreme processor and support for HDR10, Hybrid Log-Gamma, and Dolby Vision.

Sony X9000F 4K HDR TV: Price in India, Availability

The Sony X9000F series will be available in three sizes in India – 55-inch, 65-inch, and 85-inch. For now, the company has only revealed the pricing for the 55-inch model, which is now available for Rs.2,39,900 in all Sony Center and other major electronic stores across the country. Prices for the 65-inch and 85-inch models will be announced soon.

Sony X9000F 4K HDR TV: Features, Specifications

The Sony X9000F series comes with Sony’s widely acclaimed 4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme with technologies like Object-based HDR remaster, Super Bit Mapping 4K HDR and Dual database processing. Its predecessor, the X9000E series, features the less impressive 4K HDR Processor X1. It also retains some of the key highlights of the previous generation, including TRILUMINOS display and X-tended Dynamic Range PRO. For blur-free images, the Sony X9000F comes with Sony’s latest X-Motion Clarity technology that uses a combination of a proprietary direct LED local dimming system and backlight boosting algorithm to control the luminance and optimize its duration.

In terms of software, the new X9000F series run on Android TV 7.0 with Sony’s custom user interface on top. The TV features Chromecast built-in, making it extremely easy for users to send content from their smartphone or tablet directly. Sony’s X9000F series has Google Play access as well, which means you can download additional apps and games on to the TV. In fact, you even get a dedicated direct access button for Google Play store as well as Netflix. Sony also says that the X9000F series will be Smart Home Ready to connect with other smart devices in your home via Artificial Intelligence with a future software update.

The I/O connection panel on the X9000F includes a total of 4 HDMI inputs, 2 USB ports, 1 RF, and 1 Composite Video input.
