Oppo F7 Cricket Limited Edition Launched in India as Flipkart Exclusive; Sale starts on May 14

OPPO has launched yet another variant of the F7 in India. Dubbed the F7 Cricked Limited Edition, the smartphone will be available only in Diamond Black color. It is set to go on sale in India starting May 14 as a Flipkart exclusive.

In March this year, Chinese smartphone maker OPPO had launched the F7 Android smartphone in India at Rs.21,990. Last month, it introduced the Diamond Black 128GB Special Edition variant in India. The company has now launched a Limited Edition variant of the smartphone, dubbed the F7 Cricket Limited Edition, which will only be available in the Diamond Black shade.

In India, cricket is not considered a sport but a religion. The eternal love for cricket in India is undying. Keeping these things in mind, we have always come up with new and exciting editions to fulfill the needs of our consumers. With the F7 Cricket Limited Edition, we hope that this phone will resonate more with the audiences and flaunting a device with the signature of our sports brand ambassadors would be an honor for our customers, “said Will Yang, Brand Director at OPPO India.

OPPO F7 Cricket Limited Edition: Price in India, Sale

The OPPO F7 Cricket Limited Edition comes in Diamond Black color variant and has been priced at Rs.21,990 in India. It will be available online exclusively on Flipkart starting May 14th. You will also be able to purchase the OPPO F7 Cricket Limited Edition from select OPPO exclusive stores across the country.

OPPO F7 Cricket Limited Edition: Features, Specifications

In terms of design, the new F7 Cricket Limited Edition features a unique glass body with Diamond Black finish. The smartphone’s retail package will include cricket case cover and signatures of the smartphone’s three brand ambassadors – Hardik Pandya, R.Ashwin, and Rohit Sharma. Apart from these differences, the OPPO F7 Cricket Limited Edition is identical to the regular 4GB RAM OPPO F7 variant.

The OPPO F7 features a 6.23-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2280 Full HD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. On the top of the display is a notch, similar to the iPhone X and quite a few Android smartphones released this year. Thanks to the notch, the F7 boasts an impressive 88% screen-to-body ratio. Powering the OPPO F7 is a 12nm MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor clocked at up to 2 GHz with an ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU taking care of the graphics processing. As we mentioned above, the F7 Cricket Limited Edition variant includes 4GB of RAM, along with 64GB of onboard storage. For further expansion, the handset includes a dedicated microSD card slot.

At the rear is a 16-megapixel resolution primary camera with AI scene recognition feature and an f/1.8 aperture lens. The smartphone’s main USP, however, is the 25-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens, real-time HDR, and AI Beauty 2.0. For biometric authentication, the smartphone includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well as facial recognition technology that scans 296 facial recognition points.

In terms of connectivity, the OPPO F7 supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and dual 4G VoLTE. Unlike most other smartphones, both the SIM card slots on the OPPO F7 support 4G VoLTE. Keeping the lights on is a 3400mAh non-removable battery. Surprisingly, however, the OPPO F7 does not come with fast charging, a glaring omission considering the handset’s price tag. Moving on to dimensions, the OPPO F7 measures 156 x 75.3 x 7.8mm and weighs in at 158 grams.

OPPO F7 Cricket Limited Edition: OS, Software

When it comes to software, the OPPO F7 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.0 out of the box. Since the F7 features a full-screen display, OPPO’s latest custom Android skin offers new navigation shortcuts for a better experience. Some of these new gestures include swipe, flick, drag, and tap. The new Full-Screen Multitasking feature can hold app icons or notification bubbles, which makes sure you can continue playing games or watch videos without interruption. Some of the other highlights include new Photo editing tools, new Album app powered by AI recognition, AI Board, screen recording, app shortcut, apps and files protection, and more.
