We’re talking about the Huawei P20 Lite, the Oppo F7, and the V9 from Vivo. These smartphones are among the newest releases this year and have created a lot of buzz online because of the value for money that they offer. The mid-range segment often sees tight competition because there are many buyers who want good phones with great features but don’t want to shell out big bucks for a flagship phone which can often cost somewhere in the range of Rs. 60,000 to a lakh. Huawei P20 Lite vs Oppo F7 vs Vivo V9: Price in India
The Huawei P20 Lite made its debut in retail outlets, both online and offline, in March 2018. It is currently priced at Rs. 19,999. The Oppo F7, on the other hand, launched a few weeks before the P20 Lite and carries a price tag of Rs. 21,580 currently. And finally, we have the Vivo V9, which was unveiled at almost the same time as the Oppo F7, and is priced at Rs. 22,990.

The Huawei P20 Lite has a 5.84-inch display which offers a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels at a density of 432 pixels per inch (ppi). Comparatively, the Oppo F7 offers a 6.23-inch display that has a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and a pixel density of 405ppi. The Vivo V9 comes with a 6.3-inch screen and offers the same resolution as the other two (1080 x 2280) and has a pixel density of 400ppi. All three displays are IPS LCD screens and offer the same aspect ratio of 19:9. The Oppo F7 offers Gorilla Glass which the other two devices do not.

The Huawei P20 Lite is equipped with an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset (4 x 2.36GHz Cortex-A53 + 4 x 1.7GHz Cortex-A53) whereas the Oppo F7 is fueled by the MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core (4 x 2.0GHz Cortex-A73 + 4 x 2.0GHz Cortex-A53) processor. The Vivo V9 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core 2.2 GHz chip. While the V9 has an Adreno 506 graphics processing unit (GPU), the P20 Lite has a Mali-T830 MP2 GPU and the F7 comes with a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU.
In terms of software, all three devices offer Android Oreo (8.0), albeit with custom Android forks. While the P20 Lite runs on EMUI 8.0, the Oppo F7 runs on ColorOS 5.0 and the Vivo V9 runs on FunTouch 4.0. AS for memory specs, all three phones come in 4GB RAM 64GB ROM configurations. The Oppo F7 also has a higher spec variant that offers 6GB RAM paired with 128GB onboard storage.

The Huawei P20 Lite and Vivo V9 both offer dual rear cameras, a feature that the Oppo F7 misses out on. While the P20 Lite has a 16MP+2MP config on the rear, the V9 comes with a 16MP+5MP combo on the back. The Oppo F7, in comparison, offers a 16MP f/1.8 shooter as a primary camera. While all three phones can shoot 1080p videos at 30 frames per second, the V9 one-ups the competition by offering 4K video recording at 30fps.
For selfies, the Huawei P20 Lite is equipped with a 16MP front camera.Comparatively, the Oppo F7 comes with a 25MP front snapper whereas the Vivo V9 comes close with its 24MP secondary camera.

This comparison was extremely difficult because all three phones come with their own strengths and weaknesses and are on par with each other. But since we have to choose a winner, we are going to go with the Vivo V9. While the Oppo F7 has a good processor, the V9 has better camera specs. The V9 also has the largest screen and also offers solid battery life and is well designed.
