OPPO has rolled out a new software update for the F7, which brings newer security patch, bug fixes, and performance improvements. The new software update bears version number CPH1819EX_11_A.10_180510 and has been recommended by the company with a five-star upgrade index. The OPPO F7 was launched in India in March this year with a price of Rs. 21,990. Here are the screenshots of the update’s changelog and post update screens:
OPPO F7: April 2018 Security Patch Software Update
The OPPO F7’s new update brings April 2018 security patch (even though the update has been released in May). The update also fixes bugs, including overlap display issue in Software Updates interface and the disconnection issue while connecting to some Bluetooth devices. The update also brings optimisations for camera effects and stability. Two new UI themes have also been added in the Themes Store: Forest White and Nebula Purple.

The phone is still running ColourOS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. To refresh your memory, the OPPO F7 features a 6.23-inch LTPS IPS LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, screen notch and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 covering. The phone has a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with phase-detection autofocus, f/1.8 aperture, and 1080p video recording. The 25MP front-facing camera has a fixed-focus lens and f/.0 aperture, but features AI for better selfies.
The phone uses the MediaTek Helio P60 processor with octa-core CPU and Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. There are two variants of the phone, one variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and the other variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. There’s a microSD card slot as well for storage expansion. There’s a rear-mounted fingerprint reader and a 3400mAh battery. Connectivity features include a dual-SIM card slot, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, FM Radio, a microUSB 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm headphone port.
