LG G7 ThinQ global rollout commences from South Korea, 4K TV free with pre-order in Canada

LG today announced the global rollout of its latest flagship smartphone, the G7 ThinQ, starting from South Korea. The G7 ThinQ was announced at simultaneous events held in New York and Seoul earlier this month.

Earlier this month, South Korean electronics giant LG introduced its latest flagship Android smartphone, the G7 ThinQ. The company has now announced the launch of the G7 ThinQ in its home market of South Korea. LG’s latest Android flagship smartphone is also set to go on sale in a few other markets across Asia, North America, and Europe in the coming days. In other markets, the smartphone will be going on sale starting early next month.

LG G7 ThinQ: Global Rollout Begins With South Korea

The LG G7 ThinQ will be going on sale in South Korea tomorrow, i.e. May 18th for a starting price of 898,700 KRW (Rs.56,500 approx.) for the variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. LG is also launching the G7+ ThinQ with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage in South Korea for 976,800 KRW (Rs.61,400 approx.). Color options on offer include New Aurora Black, New Moroccan Blue, and Raspberry Rose. In other Asian markets, the G7 ThinQ is expected to be available by the end of this month or by early next month.

In the US, LG G7 ThinQ will be available for pre-order at Verizon Wireless starting May 24. A day later, i.e. May 25 onwards, the LG G7 ThinQ will be available for pre-order via Sprint. T-Mobile is yet to confirm a specific release date. AT&T, as we reported earlier, is expected to carry the V35 ThinQ instead of the G7 ThinQ. In Canada, customers who pre-order the G7 ThinQ will be receiving a free 43-inch 4K Smart TV from LG. The promotion will run from May 18th to May 31st and is valid on pre-orders made at retailers and carriers such as Best Buy, Walmart, Rogers, Bell, and Telus.

LG G7 ThinQ: Expected Price in India, Launch Date

The LG G7 ThinQ is expected to be priced at under the Rs.60,000 mark in India. Unlike a few other smartphone makers, LG has been quite sensible with the pricing of its flagship models in India. The LG G6 was launched in India at Rs.51,990, while the V30 Plus was launched in India at Rs.44,990. LG hasn’t confirmed anything with regards to the smartphone’s availability in India, so we might have to wait a few weeks for the confirmation to arrive. That said, there is a good chance that the G7 ThinQ could be launched in India before the end of next month.
