OnePlus 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus vs iPhone X: Design, Display
The OnePlus 6 looks more like the Oppo R15 thanks to the notch, but it is more impressive than that. The phone features a 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2280 x 1080. The display is slightly taller than the OnePlus 5T so you will be able to see a lot of things on the display. There is glass on the front and back and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
The Galaxy S9 Plus has a large 6.2-inch Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2960 x 1440. The display aspect ratio is 18.5:9 and it features Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. Galaxy S9 Plus boasts an aluminum frame that is paired with glass layers both at the front and the rear end.
The iPhone X has a 5.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2346 x 1125 with a PPI density score of 458. Apple has never used a detailed resolution like the one present in the iPhone X so there is a huge change already present here.
OnePlus 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus vs iPhone X: Hardware Specifications
OnePlus 6 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. This is currently the most powerful SoC for Android devices and so is the Exynos 9810 that is running in the Galaxy S9 Plus. iPhone X, on the other hand, ships with the Apple A11 Bionic hexa-core 2.39GHz chip and it is the most powerful chipset in any smartphone right now.
Both the OnePlus 6 and Galaxy S9 Plus feature 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage for their base versions and go up to 256GB for the highest specifications model. The iPhone X features 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory for the base model, going up to 256GB as well. The 3GB RAM bit should not fool you as iOS has been optimized to the point where even this much RAM will appear too much on the iPhone X thanks to the way it runs.
OnePlus 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus vs iPhone X: Camera
All three phones feature dual-camera setups, with all three models having a vertically aligned approach to the shooters. The camera on the Galaxy S9 Plus consists of a primary 12MP camera and a secondary 12MP camera. The most notable thing about the smartphone is the fact that it features a variable aperture of f/1.5-2.4 and switches between the two values depending on the amount of light there is in the surroundings.
The iPhone X and OnePlus 6 do not have this feature, but it should be noted that the iPhone X was the first mainstream smartphone to get support for 4K video recording at 60 frames per second. The Galaxy S9 Plus is also able to record at the same resolution and framerate, but the phone will heat up after a small period of time. The OnePlus 6 can also record at the same resolution and framerate, plus it gets slow-motion video recording too like the remaining two flagships.
However, it is not confirmed at this point if the smartphone will also be limited to the total time you have in recording at 4K at 60 frames per second. The OnePlus 6 has a 16MP (aperture f/1.7, focal length 27mm, sensor size 1/2.8″, pixel size 1.22µm, gyro EIS with OIS) + 20MP (aperture f/1.7) camera with 2x optical zoom.
As for the iPhone X, it has a 12MP (aperture of f/1.8 with focal length 28mm) + 12MP (aperture of f/2.4, focal length 52mm) setup, with OIS support 2x optical zoom, and quad-LED dual-tone flash.
