Motorola has confirmed the launch of Moto G6 Play in India on June 4. The smartphone will be available exclusively on Flipkart while Moto G6 will be Amazon exclusive, as mentioned in the tweet from the company. There had been many speculations on the launch date of the handset. There were multiple reports on the confirmed channel for the sale of the handset. The company has announced the launch of the Moto G6 Play via a tweet, finally settling the Amazon exclusive and Flipkart exclusive debate.

The Moto G6 Play is confirmed to Launch on India on June 4th putting end to all the rumors regarding the handset. A report claimed that the smartphone was to be launched on 21st of May. But, the tweet from the company has ended all the speculations once and for all, including the sale channel for the handset. The Moto G6 Play will be available exclusively on Flipkart and Amazon is the exclusive channel for the sale of Moto G6. Also, both the smartphones will be available on the Moto outlets all across the country.

Moto G6 Play: Expected Price in India

The Moto G6 Play is a mid-range smartphone. It is expected to come with a price tag of Rs. 13,000 in the Indian market. The variant with an inbuilt storage of 16Gb is expected to sell for Rs. 13,000. The smartphone offers multiple color options like Black, Grey, and Gold. All the color variants with 16GB storage are priced the same. The Global variants of the smartphone also feature 3GB RAM with 32GB internal memory along with the 2GB + 16 GB internal storage variant.

The Moto G6 Play is a mid-tier Android-based smartphone flaunting an all-metal body. The smartphone is sleek and has the design hints a premium touch to the phone. The Moto G6 Play features a fingerprint reader which is embedded in the front-facing home button. It comes with an option to record multiple fingerprints to unlock the device. On the display front, the Moto G6 Play sports a 5.7-inch HD+ IPS display which is paired with impressive wide viewing angles. This ensures a seamless user experience while watching videos and playing games. The software department is led by Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Under the hood, the Moto G6 Play is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 427 chipset which is coupled with 2GB of RAM clocked at 1.4 GHz with an Adreno 505 GPU handling the graphics processing department. The setup ensures a smooth and flawless performance while multitasking and playing games. The powerful battery of the Moto G6 play makes an impression. Fuelled by a non-removable Li-Ion 4,000mAh battery, the Moto G6 Play is good enough to last for more than 24 hours even after spending an extensive amount of time on the device.

For filming and imaging, the smartphone boasts a 13-megapixel primary rear camera with phase detection autofocus, and a f/2.0 aperture lens. The 13-megapixel camera on the back is accompanied by an LED flash. This rear camera setup ensures to capture smooth and life-like images. Globally, the smartphone is available in two memory configurations – 2GB RAM + 16GB internal memory and 3GB RAM + 32GB internal memory.The connectivity options include  4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, VoLTE support, Bluetooth 4.2, and a USB Type-C port. The Moto G6 Play also comes with a dual SIM support option.
