OPPO Find X: What We Know So Far

It has been almost four years since the company debuted the Find 7, which was the last Find series device, and it was made official way back in 2014. Since then, we never saw the release of any truly high-end phone from the Chinese company as it started focussing on mid-range devices. Rumours had hinted that OPPO might announce the OPPO Find 9 and the Find 11 soon, but it appears that it won’t happen.

Moving on to the Find X, a render of the device had emerged on Chinese social networking website Weibo a few days ago, revealing its design. Going by the leaked renders, we can expect the device to feature a dual-camera setup aligned in a vertical fashion. Sticking to the current trend, it will also have a near bezel-less screen with taller, 19:9 aspect ratio and an iPhone X-style screen notch.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset might end up being used inside the upcoming phone since the company had always relied on Qualcomm’s flagship chips for the Find series. The BBK Electronics-owned smartphone brand also might use VOOC fast charging technology. It also might make use of optical 5x zoom camera technology which it had debuted earlier at the MWC 2018 exhibition earlier this year.

OPPO Find X: Competition

As far as the competition goes, the upcoming OPPO Find X will face tough competition from other Chinese brands. It might compete with the likes of the Huawei P20 Pro, OnePlus 6, and the recently announced Mi 8. If OPPO launched the Find series smartphone worldwide, it will compete with the Apple iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+, and the newly-unveiled LG V35 ThinQ. It might also compete with Samsung’s upcoming devices: Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S10.
