The LG V35 ThinQ borrows most of the specs and design from the V30 ThinQ. It sports a 6-inch  OLED FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio and QHD+ resolution (1440×2880 pixels), resulting in a pixel density of 538ppi. The handset packs in 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and it has 64GB of internal storage. There’s one more variant of the smartphone which offers 128GB of internal storage which LG is calling as the LG V35+ ThinQ. Both these variants provide option for storage expansion via microSD card slot, allowing to users to expand the storage by up to an additional 2TB. The V35 ThinQ ships with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box instead of Android 8.1. It runs LG’s customised version of Android called the LG UX interface.

LG V35 ThinQ

The essential difference between the LG V35 ThinQ and the LG G7 is that the former lacks iPhone X style screen notch. In terms of imaging, the handset features a dual-16MP rear camera setup. There’s f/1.6 aperture lens for primary sensor and f/1.9 aperture for ultra-wide secondary sensor. The rear-facing camera can also shoot 4K videos. Compared to the 5MP front camera seen on the V30 ThinQ, the V35 ThinQ now comes with an 8MP selfie shooter which has 80-degree wide-angle lens and f/1.9 aperture. The phone retains the AI CAM feature that offers 19 auto-activating shooting modes that help users in capturing better images. You can take the bokeh shots using both rear and front cameras. There are Stickers feature for 2D or 3D overlay effects that work with face recognition.

LG claims that they it has improved low-light photography capabilities on the V35 ThinQ, and that it can can now capture superior low-light images, that are up to four times brighter. The company is using AI algorithms that can determine the best settings and mode for shooting in dim environments. LG also has used the Super Far Field Voice Recognition (SFFVR) technology, that allows users to activate Google Assistant by voice from up to five meters away. The V35 ThinQ also comes with DTS:X, allowing users to enjoy virtual 3D surround sound (up to 7.1 channel audio) with any content.

The handset offers IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, and it is also MIL-STD 810G certified for tougher conditions. Inside the device is a 3300mAh battery that offers Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support. Apart from the wired charging facility, as rumoured earlier, the V35 ThinQ comes with wireless charging support as well.
