At the ongoing Computex 2018 event in Taipei, ASUS has unveiled the new Zenbook S (UX391) laptop. It borrows much of its design from last years Zenbook model, and it features an ergonomic design. It is available in a bunch of colours and it will start shipping from June 11. The ASUS Zenbook S comes in two variants, one with an Intel Core i7-8550U and the other variant with an Intel Core i5-8250U quad-core processor. Both variants have 16GB of RAM and a hinge support, which ASUS is calling the ErgoLift.
Asus Zenbook S (UX391): Features
The ASUS Zenbook S is 12.9mm thin and it weighs 1kg. It sports a 13.3-inch display with 178-degree viewing angles and 85% screen-to-body ratio. The top-most variant of the laptop offers a 4K (3840×2160 pixels) touchscreen. There’s another variant with a 13.3-inch non-touch display with Full HD resolution (1920×1080 pixels). As mentioned above, the laptop comes in two models. The higher-end variant has an 8th Gen. Intel Core i7-8550U processor, while for the latter has an Intel Core i5-8250U CPU. Both variants ship with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage.
The laptop has an ErgoLift hinge, which lifts the base of the laptop at a 5.5-degree angle when the device is opened. The hinge further helps the laptop’s cooling system that offers more clearance below the surface. In terms of connectivity, the ASUS Zenbook S features three USB-C ports, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, and a headphone jack. ASUS claims that the laptop can last up to 13.5 hours on a single charge. It comes in Burgundy Red and Deep Dive Blue colour options

The ASUS Zenbook (UX391) is priced at $1,199 (approximately, Rs. 80,505). It will go on sale starting from June 11. As of now, ASUS hasn’t mentioned whether this new laptop will make it to the Indian market, but we expect to hear more from ASUS soon.
