There seems to be no end to the number of leaks we have been seeing of the Vivo’s Nex smartphones in the last few days. A new hands-on image of the exlusive handset has emerged that allegedly gives us our first real look at the device. We did get a decent look when the phone’s renders had been discovered, but the video confirms the design language being used. Also, there has been a leak that allegedly reveals the price of the upcoming Vivo Nex and Nex S. While we cannot yet confirm the credibility of the new leaks, we can rest assured that we won’t have to wait for too long since the official launch of these devices is tomorrow.
Vivo Nex: First Hands-on Video

As is apparent from the hands-on video, the entire handset boasts a glass construction that gives it a sleek, slippery look. The video confirms the almost entirely bezel-less screen being used on the NEX. The display might not come entirely close to a 100 percent screen-to-body ratio because of the tiny chin that does seem to be present at the bottom, but it does bring us closer to this dream than ever before. It isn’t entirely certain which variant of the handset this is since there are supposed to be three different models. But the video does give us a decent idea of what to expect from Vivo’s launch taking place tomorrow.
Vivo Nex, Nex S: Leaked Price
Leaks have already insinuated that there would be three different models of the NEX smartphone — one with a Snapdragon 845, another with a Snapdragon 710, and a third with unconfirmed internal specifications. According to the new leak, the higher-end model with the Snapdragon 845 ( which might be called the Nex S) will allegedly be priced at 4498 yuan which equates to roughly Rs.45,500. The Vivo Nex which is likely to come with the Snapdragon 710 SoC onboard is claimed to come with a price tag of 3798 yuan (approx. Rs.40,000). No detail regarding the third model which might be called the Nex A.
Vivo Nex: Expected Specification, Features
Going by the leak we reported last week, the Nex S model is likely to sport a 6.59-inch display with FHD+ resolution (2316×1080 pixels). The phone would be powered by a Snapdragon 710 processor which has two Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.2GHz, while the other six are Cortex-A55 clocked at 1.7GHz. This phone will possibly come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Then there is the more premium Nex smartphone which should come with a Snapdragon 845 SoC. This phone would also come with 8GB of RAM and get a bump in storage to 256GB. Both the devices are expected to come with microSD card expansion and are likely to arrive with a 4000mAh battery. The more expensive, Nex would come with an in-display fingerprint scanner, while the lower-priced Nex S will be equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. For the software, we expect them to come with Android 8.0-Oreo installed out-of-the-box alongside Vivo’s Funtouch OS skin.
For imaging, the smartphones will employ a dual camera setup at the back with the primary sensor being a 12MP lens, and the other will be a 5MP lens. The dual camera setup will provide phase-detection autofocus, bokeh mode, panorama and HDR among other nifty features. And there will obviously be the front-facing shooter that will pop up from the top of the phone whenever you want to take a selfie.
