OPPO‘s teaser campaign for its upcoming smartphone, the OPPO Find X, seems to be in full swing these days. The Chinese smartphone brand has been revealing information about the Find X bit by bit over the past few days. We can now confirm final specifications of the OPPO Find X through our sources.
A few days ago, the company had already confirmed the presence of its 5x optical zoom camera technology and Super VOOC Flash Charge technologies in the Find X. Earlier today, the company also revealed that the phone will feature Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB RAM and up to 2656GB internal storage.
OPPO Find X: Confirmed Specifications
According to the information that we’ve received from our source, we can confirm that the OPPO Find X will use a 20MP+16MP dual-camera setup at the rear. Both these camera sensors will feature f/2.0 aperture lenses. On the front side, the smartphone will sport a 25MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The phone will be equipped with Qualcomm’s current top-of-the-line processor, the Snapdragon 845. At least one variant of the phone will feature 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
The Find X will run Android 8.1 Oreo-based Color OS 5.1 out of the box and it will available in two colour options: Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue. Connectivity-wise, the Find X will offer dual Nano-SIM card slot, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n ac (2.5GHz/5.1GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/A-GPS, and OTG support. Under the hood, the handset will pack either 3645mAh/3730mAh battery that will have Super VOOC flash charging support.
OPPO Find X: Rotating Camera?
Now OPPO has posted a teaser on Weibo, hinting towards a possibility of a rotating camera module on the Find X. Yes, we are talking about a rotating camera setup which OPPO had first introduced with the OPPO N1 in 2013.
A popular Weibo leakster had published the patent schematics for the rotating camera which OPPO had filed for using in its smartphones. After examing the image, we can expect OPPO to make use of this technology once again after nearly five years.
What’s more interesting is that the Find X is expected to adopt a Full-Screen display, and on top of that, OPPO is expected to make use of a rotating camera module. Yes, at least the patent design gives us a closer look at what OPPO is actually trying to make use of in the upcoming Find X. The dual lenses implementation at the rear in horizontal fashion also reminds us about the LG G6, considering that it had adopted the same design where LED flash is sitting between the two sensors.
While we can swear by the specifications which we received from our source, we can’t say that the leaked schematics of OPPO’s rotating dual-camera setup could be used in the OPPO Find X. OPPO has scheduled an event in Paris for the official unveiling of Find X, which is happening on June 19. Over the past few days, we might learn more information about the OPPO Find X through official and unofficial sources.
