While the names might be identical, the actual finish and pattern are slightly different for both models. And in case you are wondering, these plated editions of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus will still support wireless charging. Prices start at £2300 (Rs.2,08,600 approx.) for the Luxury Plated Frame Edition Galaxy S9 and go up to £3700 (Rs.3,35,500 approx.) for the Limited Edition Galaxy S9 Plus finishes. Galaxy S9: Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S9 sports a large 5.8-inch Super AMOLED dual-curved Infinity Display with 1440 x 2960 Quad HD+ resolution, 18.5:9 aspect ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer on top. Powering the Galaxy S9 is Samsung’s in-house developed Exynos 9810 octa-core processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in three storage variants – 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. For further expansion, the handset includes a Hybrid Dual-SIM slot.

As for optics, the Galaxy S9 comes with a single 12MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and a dual-aperture f/1.5/ – f/2.4 lens with Dual Pixel autofocus. Samsung’s latest and greatest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S9 Plus features a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED dual-curved Infinity Display with 1440 x 2960 Quad HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The Galaxy S9 Plus sold in India is powered by an Exynos 9810 octa-core processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the smartphone comes in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options. Further expansion is supported as well, although the smartphone doesn’t include a dedicated microSD card slot.

On the back of the smartphone is a 12MP + 12MP dual-camera setup with 2x optical zoom, dual optical image stabilization, Dual Pixel AF, and 4K video recording at up to 60fps. While the primary 12MP sensor is coupled with an f/1.5 – f/2.4 dual-aperture, the secondary 12MP sensor on the Galaxy S9 Plus is coupled with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, the smartphone has an 8MP AF sensor on the front. While most of the smartphone’s spec sheet is identical to the smaller Galaxy S9, it does pack a bigger 3500mAh capacity battery. Just like the Galaxy S9, the Galaxy S9 Plus runs on the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with the Samsung Experience 9.0 running on top.
