It’s becoming a common practice for smartphone manufacturers to unveil their devices on the back of a teaser campaign around Social Media. Instead of relying on the leaks and rumors, manufacturers are now themselves teasing up bits and pieces about their phones. Lenovo recently demonstrated (albeit, controversially) what a successful teaser campaign can do, as the Lenovo Z5 sold out in under 15 minutes on the day of its China launch. We had similar campaigns for the recently launched Xiaomi Mi 8 and the Vivo NEX, and now OPPO has joined the list, teasing their next flagship, the Oppo Find X, and if the teasers are to be believed (Sorry, we still haven’t made peace with what Lenovo did to us), Oppo might be launching what would be the closest any device has gotten to a truly bezel-less screen.

Oppo Find X: Fully Bezel-less?

Earlier this month, Oppo had released this teaser image for the upcoming Find X, which clearly depicted a phone which is almost all-screen at the front and the accompanying text was pointing to it having a screen to body ratio greater than 90%. Notably, Vivo had recently launched the Vivo NEX, which had an unprecedented 91.24% of screen-to-body ratio. But it looks like that record is already about to be broken, as a leaked image posted on the Chinese social media platform, Weibo, shows the missing digits from the official teaser and it confirms that the Find X will have a mind-boggling 93.4% screen-to-body ratio, which will definitely make it one of the most advanced design smartphone till date.

Oppo Find X: Specifications and Features

There is no official word about the specifications of this phone yet, but from what we know so far, we can expect it to be a hardware beast. The phone is rumored to have a 19.5:9 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen at the front, with an unusual curved-style notch at the top and is also speculated to have curved edges like the Galaxy series of phones, thus helping it to achieve that incredible screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the phone is expected to be running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage options to choose from. The phone will be running Android Oreo 8.1 with Oppo’s custom skin on top. On the imaging front, it is bound to come with a dual camera setup which could feature a 16MP primary shooter coupled with a 20MP secondary lens. Oppo’s main focus has been on delivering unbeatable selfie clicking performance and that’s bound to continue with the Find X with a 25MP shooter at the front. The battery is pegged to be somewhere around the 3700mAh mark.
