We have heard a lot about this flagship smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer called the Oppo Find X. Hopefully, it will not disappoint like the Lenovo Z5.
In this post, we are going to tell you all that you need to know about the Oppo Find X. We do not know all the fine details, but some of the most important features of this phone is already out in the open. Some have been confirmed by the company itself, thanks to all the teasers.
Oppo Find X: A Flagship Reborn?
Oppo hasn’t really announced a new Find series phone ever since the Find 7, which was launched in 2014. The Find series from Oppo always had the latest high-end hardware and features. And now, the company seems to be back in the game, with the Oppo Find X.
According to all the rumors and leaks, this is going to be one unique smartphone. Once again, we have been told, by Oppo itself, that the Find X will have the highest screen-to-body ratio of any phone available. It will be higher than the recently announced Vivo Nex S as well.
Looks like we might have a new flagship contender for 2018, competing with the likes of the OnePlus 6, Samsung Galaxy S9, Lenovo Z5, Apple iPhone X, Xiaomi Mi 8, and others.
Oppo Find X: Launch Details, Price
The Oppo Find X is going to be announced at a launch event in China later today. It will obviously be available in China first, followed by other regions. In case you are really interested in this phone, you can check out our live coverage of the event.
Pricing isn’t really known at this moment, but a recent leak has revealed that it would be priced similar to the Vivo NEX S. The Oppo Find X could be priced at CNY 4500, which equates to about Rs. 48,000.
Oppo Find X: Leaks, Rumors, Teasers
The biggest teasers and leaks of the Find X come from Oppo itself. The company has been regularly posting teasers of the phone, confirming features.
Firstly, the Oppo Find X is going to have a very impressive and the highest screen-to-body ratio of any smartphone so far. According to Oppo, the phone will have a bezel-less display with a 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. In comparison, the Vivo NEX S has an STB of 91.24 percent.
Other leaks have also revealed that the Find X might have a very unusual notch at the top of the display. This isn’t very likely, but some rumors suggest that the phone might have a very small V-shaped notch at the front. We will have to wait to find out.
Another leak mentioned that the phone might feature a rotating camera in order to provide a full-screen display at the front. Let’s move on to the specifications of the phone.
Oppo Find X: Specifications
It has been confirmed by Oppo that the Find X will feature the latest Snapdragon 845 SoC, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. The screen is said to be a 6.4-inch fullHD+ AMOLED panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It could feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, but that hasn’t been mentioned in any leaks or rumors.
The company also teased that the camera on the phone would have a 5X Optical zoom. Yes, it will obviously feature a dual-camera setup, and at the front you might see a 24MP selfie shooter. Expect the phone to be running on Android 8.1 Oreo with Oppo’s UI on top. It is also believed that the phone will have a 3700mAh battery with Super VOOC Flash charging that should give a full days charge in less than 30 minutes.
