The TENAA listing confirms Xiaomi’s Mi Max 3 will arrive with a humongous 6.9-inch sized IPS display offering 1080 x 2160 Full HD+ resolution with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Thanks to the thin bezels surrounding the display, the Mi Max 3 will not be much larger than its predecessor. According to the TENAA listing, the phablet measures 176.15 x 87.4 x 7.99mm and weighs in at 221 grams. In comparison, the Mi Max 2 measures 174.1 x 88.7 x 7.6mm and weighs in at 211 grams.
Moving on, the M1804E4T variant listed on the TENAA website is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz. In terms of memory, the handset will be available in three configurations – 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM, 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM, and 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM. In the camera department, Mi Max 3 is listed to feature a dual-camera setup at the rear with the primary sensor being a 12MP unit. The smartphone will be capable of shooting videos at up to 4K resolution. For selfies, the phablet includes an 8MP snapper on the front. One of the key selling points of the Xiaomi “Max” series phablets has been their excellent battery life. The upcoming Mi Max 3 will pack a 5400mAh capacity battery with fast charging support, an increase of 100mAh when compared to its predecessor. The TENAA listing also confirms the presence of a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, and a microSD card slot for further expansion. In terms of software, the Mi Max 3 will be shipping with the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box, likely featuring the MIUI 10 overlay on top. The phablet will be available in a wide range of colors including Black, Rose Gold, Gold, White, Blue, Red, Pink, Gray, and Silver.
Mi Max 3: Expected Price in India, Launch Date
The Mi Max 3 is expected to start at somewhere around the Rs.17,000 mark in India. As revealed by the TENAA listing, the handset will be available in three memory configurations in China. We don’t expect Xiaomi to launch all the three variants in India, at least not initially. If the company decides to bring the 6GB RAM + 128GB variant to Indian shores, we expect it to be priced closer to the Rs.20,000 mark. As for the launch date, we expect the Mi Max 3 to be launched in India soon after its debut in China, likely by the end of July or early August.
