In China, the NEX A with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage is priced at 3,898 yuan (Rs.40,600 approx.). Vivo NEX S with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage is priced at 4,498 yuan (Rs.47,000 approx.), while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at 4,998 yuan (Rs.52,100 approx.). All three variants were sold out on the company’s website in just hours. Quite clearly, consumers in China seem to have been very impressed with the impressive screen-to-body ratio of the NEX smartphones. The pop-up selfie camera is also something that probably played a role in attracting the attention of a lot of buyers in China. While sister brand’s new Find X offers an even higher screen-to-body ratio than the NEX smartphones from Vivo, the slider design could be prone to wear in the long term. It is also going to be difficult to actually use the cameras on the smartphone with a protective case on.
