Ahead of tomorrow’s launch, Xiaomi has officially listed the Redmi 6 Pro and the Mi Pad 4 on its official Chinese website. Xiaomi has even listed the pricing of each of the variants of the Redmi 6 Pro and Mi Pad 4, along with their detailed specifications. The Redmi 6 Pro sports a taller 5.84-inch Full HD+ 19:9 display, 12MP+5MP dual camera setup, and a 4000mAh battery. On the other hand, the Mi Pad 4 is coming with an 8-inch 16:10 aspect ratio display, Snapdragon 660 SoC, 6000mAh battery, LTE and Wi-Fi options. Let’s go through the pricing and detailed specs of the duo.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro & Mi Pad 4: Pricing

Going by the official listing, the Redmi 6 Pro with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage will retail for 999 Yuan (Rs. 10,422), whereas the 4GB RAM variant with 32GB memory will cost 1109 Yuan (Rs. 11,569). The highest-end version, i.e the one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will sell for 1299 Yuan (Rs. 13,551). Coming to the pricing of the Mi Pad 4, the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage (LTE) version will retail for 1099 Yuan (Rs. 11,465). On the other hand, the 4GB RAM + 64GB memory Wi-Fi model will be priced at 1399 Yuan (Rs. 14,595). The highest-end version, i.e the one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage LTE variant will cost 1499 Yuan (Rs. 15,638). The Mi Pad 4 is said to go on sale in China starting from June 29, so we can expect the Redmi 6 Pro to go on sale starting from the same date as well.

As far as the specifications of the Redmi 6 Pro go, it sports a 5.84-inch display with Full HD+ resolution, along with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The screen has a 432 PPI pixel density, 84% NTSC color gamut and a Contrast ratio of 1500:1. The Redmi 6 Pro also features an Apple iPhone X-style notch, which has now become quite popular with Android OEMs. Powering the phone is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset that is paired with Adreno 506 GPU. As mentioned above, the smartphone comes in three variants. With the base model, you get  3GB/4GB RAM + 32GB storage, whereas the highest-end variant comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB memory. On the software front, the device ships with the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 customisation on top.


Moving onto the imaging department, the smartphone boasts a 12MP+5MP AI dual camera setup. Xiaomi claims that the rear sensors uses AI to offer DSLR-like background blur when using the portrait mode. For selfies and video calls, the phone features a 5MP resolution snapper on the front. Connectivity-wise, the smartphone offers dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/GLONASS, and a 3.5mm audio port. The handset packs a 4000mAh battery and comes in Black, Rose Gold, Red, Blue, and Gold colour options.

Xiaomi had formally listed the Mi Pad 4 on its official website a few minutes back, but the product page seems to have been taken down now. However, we were fortunate enough to grab all the details along with the pricing before the page was pulled down. If we look at the specs of the Mi Pad 4, it features an 8-inch Full HD 16:10 display. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 SoC. The tablet ships in both LTE and Wi-Fi-only variants. The base Wi-Fi model packs 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, whereas the 4GB RAM version comes in both LTE and Wi-Fi variants that pack 64GB internal memory. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

In terms of imaging, the Mi Pad 4 sports a 13MP rear-facing camera, and a 5MP front-facing snapper. The tablet packs a massive 6000mAh battery and will ship in Black and Gold colour options.
