The Vivo V9 Youth is the second V-series smartphone to release in India this year. Vivo basically made a few downgrades to the original V9 (review) to make it more affordable. New images popped up on twitter today, which claim that the Vivo V9 Youth’s price has officially been lowered further. It is currently uncertain if this price drop is just for offline retailers or will also reflect on online retail websites in the future.
According to the images posted on the official Twitter handles for BigC and Mahesh Telecom, the Vivo V9 Youth’s official pricing has been lowered to Rs.17,990 from the previous price of Rs.18,990. These images also have the FIFA World Cup 2018 logo at the top, presumably to correlate the price drop with the festive season. At the time of writing, however, the primary product listing on Vivo India’s online web store still denotes Rs.18,990 as the phone’s selling price. Either it might take some time for Vivo to update the information on its site, or maybe the price drop is only intended for offline retailers. Amazon India also currently has the official listing of the V9 Youth at the original price. However, we were able to find another listing on the website for the phone’s gold colour variant being sold by third-party sellers at discounted prices, with the lowest being Rs.17,299.
