When it comes to tracking capabilities, the Honor Band 3 comes with a pedometer, sleep tracker, exercise tracker, and even a sedentary reminder. Using Huawei TruSleep technology, the fitness band is capable of providing comprehensive sleep tracking, validated by DBIOM at BIDMC, a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. The Honor Band 3 is capable of tracking light, deep, and REM sleeps to give you a detailed analysis and recommendations. Thanks to it being water resistant up to 50 meters, the fitness band can track swim times, calories burned, and more in the custom swimming mode.
As far as “smart” features are concerned, the Honor Band 3 supports Called ID, call rejection, notification vibrations for Facebook and Twitter, messages, emails, calendar alerts, and more. The fitness band utilizes the Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy standard and is compatible with Android 4.4+ or iOS 8.0+ devices. When paired with a compatible smartphone, you will be able view an instant analysis after each run or workout. The Honor Band 3 can even link with your smartphone’s GPS to track your running routes. It is fueled by a 105mAh capacity battery, which is claimed to offer up to 30 days of usage time on a single charge. In terms of dimensions, the Honor Band 3 measures 10.3 x 43 x 16.5mm and weighs in at 18 grams. Thanks to the light weight and an ergonomic design, the Honor Band 3 is extremely comfortable to wear.
Honor Band 3 vs Mi Band 3
The Mi Band 3 was launched in China alongside the Mi 8 and Mi 8 SE smartphones at Xiaomi’s 8th Anniversary event last month. It features a 0.78-inch OLED display and is rated for up to 5 ATM water resistance. In terms of battery life, Xiaomi claims the Mi Band 3 is capable of providing up to 20 days of stamina on a single charge. Some of its other key features include a PPG heart-rate sensor, triaxial acceleration, sleep monitoring, NFC support, and all the usual fitness tracking capabilities. Once it launches in India, the Mi Band 3 will be taking on the Honor Band 3 directly. However, as you can tell from the specs above, the Honor Band 3 does have a slight edge over the Xiaomi fitness tracker.
