As many of you might be aware, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 had emerged as the most popular smartphone in India last year, helping Xiaomi achieve the No.1 position in the Indian smartphone market. Xiaomi had, in fact, managed to sell 5 million units of the smartphone in the first 6 months of its launch in the country. Today, Xiaomi India announced that the Redmi Note 5 series has managed to perform even better in terms of sales numbers.

Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Note 5: Over 5 Million Units Sold Within 4 Months

The Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, both of which were launched in India in February this year, have been successful in winning the hearts of consumers in India. In just four months since their launch, Xiaomi has sold over 5 million units of the two smartphones combined. This also means that the Redmi Note 5 series is the fastest selling phone series in India to have crossed the 5 million sales milestone. What makes this achievement even more impressive is that the two smartphones aren’t on open sale in India yet. However, Xiaomi has been working hard to ensure that it can meet the enormous demand for the Redmi Note 5 series smartphones in the country.

To celebrate this achievement, Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain has announced that 1 lucky Mi fan will be able to win a Redmi Note 5 by retweeting 2 of his tweets announcing the good news. He also added that he will gift one additional Redmi Note 5 Pro after 1000 retweets.
