The Galaxy A6 was launched in India with a price tag of Rs.21,990 for the 32GB storage variant. According to Mahesh Telecom, the smartphone is now available for a price tag of Rs.19,990 at offline retailers across the country. While the Samsung online shop has the 32GB variant of the smartphone listed at Rs.21,990, it is now available for Rs.19,990 online on Amazon.in.
Samsung Galaxy A6: 4GB RAM + 64GB Variant Launching Soon
In addition to the price drop, Mahesh Telecom has also revealed that the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of the Galaxy A6 will soon be going on sale with a price tag of Rs.20,990. At the time of launch, Samsung had announced that the 64GB storage variant of the Galaxy A6 will be priced at 22,990 in India.
Samsung Galaxy A6: Specifications, Features
The Samsung Galaxy A6 comes with a 5.6-inch sized Super AMOLED Infinity Display with 720 x 1480 HD+ resolution and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. In terms of design, the Galaxy A6 boasts a metal unibody build with smooth curves and a 7.7mm profile. Powering the Galaxy A6 is an octa-core Exynos 7870 chipset clocked at 1.6 GHz with a Mali-T830 MP1 GPU. As mentioned above, the Galaxy A6 is currently available with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The 4GB RAM + 64GB variant of the smartphone is expected to go on sale very soon. For further expansion, the Galaxy A6 includes a dedicated microSD card slot.
In the camera department, Galaxy A6 comes equipped with a 16MP primary snapper at the rear with an f/1.7 aperture for impressive low-light performance. For selfies, the Galaxy A6 includes a 16MP resolution snapper on the front with an f/1.9 aperture and an LED flash. The handset comes with Samsung’s Social Camera 2.0 that lets you share your moments instantly with Group Share. You can also add music to your memories with the Music Camera feature. Connectivity features supported by the smartphone include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, NFC, and 4G VoLTE. Fueling the internals of the smartphone is a 3000mAh non-removable battery. However, the Galaxy A6 does not offer fast charging support. Some of the other key features of the Samsung Galaxy A6 include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and Dolby Atmos sound. It also comes with Samsung Mall, which lets you shoot and search for your favorite products with the Visual Search Technology. On the software front, the Galaxy A6 runs on the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with the Samsung Experience UX on top.
