
After teasing it over it social media channels, Samsung finally unveiled the Galaxy On6 smartphone in India as a Flipkart exclusive. The new model in the Galaxy On series comes with Samsung’s proprietary Infinity Display design, which is claimed to offer 15 percent more screen real estate without adding extra inches in the overall size of the device. Samsung has targeted the phone at the youth and has adorned it with minimum bezels and a front camera with LED flash. The screen also offers 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
Samsung Galaxy On6: Price in India
The Samsung Galaxy On6 price in India is Rs. 14,490 and it will be up for sale exclusively via Flipkart and Samsung Online Shop starting July 5, 2018. It has debuted in a single variant with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. At its pricing, the phone is set to compete with Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 Pro and OPPO’s Realme 1 in India.
Samsung Galaxy On6: Launch Offers
The Samsung Galaxy On6 has been launched with a slew of launch offers for the buyers. It comes clubbed with a complete mobile protection plan at Rs. 49. Additionally, the buyers also have an option to buy it with no cost EMI options starting at Rs. 1,610. Jio users will receive a cashback of Rs. 2,750 in their Jio account by recharging with Rs. 198 and Rs. 299 packs. They will also be eligible for a Double Data benefit on the first four recharges, starting at Rs. 198.
Samsung Galaxy On6: Specs, Features
The Samsung Galaxy On6 comes with a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display at full HD+ at 720×1480 pixels resolution. The phone runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based Samsung Experience UX on the software side. It is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. The phone supports connectivity options such as dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
On the imaging front, the phone sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and other features such as Beauty Face, Best Photo, Face Detection, Food, HDR, Panorama, Sports, and Animated GIF. There is an 8MP selfie snapper at the front with an LED flash. The front camera also supports Face Unlock feature, and both the cameras (front and rear) have a f/1.9 aperture lens. Besides, there is also a fingerprint sensor at the back. A 3000mAh battery backs the device.
On the software level, the Samsung Galaxy On6 smartphone also boasts ‘Chat Over Video’ feature that allows users to chat with their contacts while watching a video by enabling a translucent chat screen. The phone also houses a preloaded My Galaxy Video app that includes videos from a host of content providers. The videos in the app are segmented into different sections such as curated playlists, original shows, and full-length Bollywood movies. The phone also comes pre-loaded with Samsung Pay Mini, which assists in mobile payments.
