Xiaomi is expected to announce its next big smartphone, the Mi Max 3, later this month. The handset already had received the prior TENAA certification in China a few days ago, making its release imminent soon. Apart from the Mi Max 3, we also are aware of the fact that Xiaomi is also working on the Mi Max 3 Pro and its specifications were also detailed in a recent leak. In the latest news about the Mi Max 3 Pro, it has received the National Communication Commission (NCC) Taiwan certification, ahead of launch. The smartphone is labelled with the model number M1804E4A on the certification website.
Mi Max 3 Pro: Rumoured Specifications
Going by the specifications listed on TENAA, the Mi Max 3 Pro may sport a 6.9-inch IPS LCD panel that could feature Full HD+ resolution (1080×2160 pixels), a 350 PPI pixel density, and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone is likely to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 710 SoC with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage, unlike the Mi Max 3 that could debut in two variants – 4GB RAM+ 64GB storage and 6GB RAM+128GB storage. It will run Android 8.0 Oreo-based MIUI 10 out of the box as mentioned in the TENAA listing.
As far as the imaging department is concerned, the device will most likely sport a 12MP+20MP dual-camera setup at the rear (placed vertically) and an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calling. Connectivity-wise the phone is said to be a dual-SIM device that will offer support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.0, IR Port, and USB Type-C. You can expect great battery life on this phone thanks to the massive 5500mAh battery with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support.
It must be noted that these details are yet to be confirmed by Xiaomi. We better take them with a pinch of salt.
Mi Max 3 Pro, Mi Max 3: Pricing and Avaibility
Moving onto the pricing details, the Mi Max 3 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage might retail around for CNY 1,699 (approx. Rs. 17,583). The launch date of the Mi Max 3 and Mi Max 3 Pro is yet to be revealed by Xiaomi, but considering their recent certifications and leaks, we might see them going official soon.
Concerning the Mi Max 3’s launch in India, Xiaomi is expected to first launch make it official in China and then move to other markets like India. As much as we may know about the upcoming Mi Max devices via listings and leaks, there is still a lot to know.
