The Samsung Galaxy On6 was announced just yesterday in India. Although you cannot buy it just yet, we thought it would be nice to compare it with some other similarly priced smartphones that are available for purchase.

We have already compared the Galaxy On6 with few other smartphones such as the Redmi Note 5 Pro, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, and the Moto G6. Now, in this post, we shall be comparing the Galaxy On6 with the Vivo Y83 and the Nokia 6.1.

All three devices are in the mid-range category and are similarly priced. These are also great alternatives if you were just not impressed with the new Galaxy On6.

The Samsung Galaxy On6 is priced at Rs. 14,490. It is only available in one configuration, with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting July 5th.

The Vivo Y83 is priced at Rs. 14,990 for the 4GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. Finally, the Nokia 6.1 is on the pricier side here, with prices starting from Rs. 15,833 for the model with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage. The 4GB RAM/64GB ROM variant will cost you Rs. 18,999.

The best looking phone among the three has to be the Nokia 6.1, despite featuring a polycarbonate back. The Galaxy On6 also comes with a plastic back, whereas the Vivo Y83 has a 2.5D Glass back.

The Vivo Y83 is also the phone with the largest display here. It has a 6.22-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution, a notch at the top, and a tall aspect ratio. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy On6 comes with a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio and the Nokia 6.1 has a full HD 5.5-inch LCD display.

In terms of the internal hardware and specifications, all three smartphones here are similar. While the Samsung Galaxy On6 comes with an Exynos 7870 SoC, the Vivo Y83 features a Helio P22 chipset, and the Nokia 6.1 has a Snapdragon 630 processor. If you want the snappiest performance out of the three, then the Nokia 6.1 will do great.

As for RAM and storage, the Nokia 6.1 comes with either 3/4GB of RAM, and 32/64GB of internal storage. The Galaxy On6 comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage, and the Vivo Y83 is available with 4GB RAM and 32GB of storage. All three devices have a microSD card, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. They also feature a headphone jack.

Coming to the optics, once again, all three phones are similarly equipped. While the Galaxy On6 and the Vivo Y83 both get a 13MP main rear camera, the Nokia 6.1 has a 16MP sensor with Carl Zeiss optics.

On the front, all three smartphones come with an 8MP sensor for selfies. So yeah, you can expect similar camera performance on all the devices. We’d recommend the Nokia or the Samsung if the camera is a priority.

The Vivo Y83 has the biggest battery of the three, but it shouldn’t make a lot of difference in battery life. It comes with a 3260mAh battery, whereas the Nokia 6.1 and the Samsung Galaxy On6 both feature a 3000mAh unit. Only the Nokia features fast charging here.

In conclusion, we would like to recommend the Samsung Galaxy On6 out of the three if you are looking at value for money. If paying a little extra doesn’t bother you, then we say you go for Nokia 6.1. However, if you want a big screen, very less-bezels, and a price tag of less than Rs. 15,000, then go for the Vivo Y83!
