Tambo TA-4 smartphone with 5.45-inch screen, MediaTek MT6737 launched in India for Rs. 6,999

The Tambo TA-4 smartphone, which is priced at Rs. 6,999, will be offered in three colours – Jet Black, Champagne and Sapphire Blue, Tambo Mobiles said in a press release.


Today, the Noida-based smartphone brand Tambo Mobiles released its second entry-level smartphone, the TA-4. It is a follow-up to the Tambo TA-3 and comes with a 5.45-inch IPS LCD HD display with minimum-bezel design and an aspect ratio of 18:9. It also features a fingerprint reader at the rear and face recognition for unlocking the phone.

Tambo TA-4: Price In India, Colours

The Tambo TA-4 is priced at Rs 6,999. The handset will be offered in three colour options – Jet Black, Champagne and Sapphire Blue, Tambo Mobiles said in a press release. The handset comes with a service warranty of 200 days for the replacement and another warranty of one-time screen replacement within 365 days.

Tambo TA-4: Features, Specifications

The Tambo TA-4 features a 5.45-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution, 500 nits brightness, minimum-bezel design, and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The screen is covered by a 2.5D curved glass with a glossy finish. The Tambo TA-4 features an 8MP rear-facing camera with a dual-LED flash, and the camera is powered by a Samsung sensor. There is also a 5MP front shooter with an LED flash, face beautification, burst mode, HDR, panorama mode and stickers.

The Tambo TA-4 runs Android 7.0 Nougat. It is equipped with a MediaTek MT6737 chipset with a 1.25GHz quad-core CPU. The processor is paired to 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The storage space is expandable up to an additional 64GB via a microSD card. It supports 4G VoLTE connectivity. Other features include GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There’s a 3000mAh battery inside the Tambo TA-4 that powers the phone.

After the success of TA-3, it is a pleasure for us to launch a new product with advanced features and higher specifications for seamless multi-tasking. We believe that a good product offered at an affordable price becomes the hero, and we try to build that in each of our products,” he said.
