The Oppo Find X is scheduled to launch in India tomorrow i.e July 12. In Europe, its standard variant is launched at €999 (approx. Rs. 78,500) while the special Lamborghini Edition is priced at whopping €1699 (approx. Rs. 1,33,795). The Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus, on the other hand, is available in two variants – 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 256GB storage, priced at Rs. 64,900 and Rs. 72,920, respectively. The Vivo Nex S is also scheduled to launch in India on July 19 and the phone could launch around Rs. 42,990.
Oppo Find X vs Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus vs Vivo NEX S: Display
Concerning display, the Oppo Find X features a 6.42-inch full HD+ AMOLED notched display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Whereas, the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus settles for a slightly smaller 6.2-inch Super AMOLED screen with 2960 × 1440 pixels resolution and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The Vivo Nex S also sports a Super AMOLED screen at 6.59-inches bearing 2316 × 1080 pixels resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
In this segment, the Galaxy S9 Plus has a better resolution. It will also be a good pick for the ones who are not a fan of notched displays.
Oppo Find X vs Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus vs Vivo NEX S: Hardware, Software
The Oppo Find X comes powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 845 SoC with Adreno 630 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of non-expandable internal storage. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.1 out-of-the-box and is backed by a 3730mAh battery with VOOC fast charging support.
The Galaxy S9 Plus sold in India comes powered by an octa-core Exynos 9810 chipset with 6GB RAM and 64GB/256GB storage, based on the variant. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo-baed Samsung Experience 9.0 out-of-the-box. It is backed by a 3500mAh battery.
Lastly, the Vivo Nex S is powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC clubbed with 8GB RAM and has 128GB internal storage. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS 4.0 out of the box and is backed by a 4000mAh battery with 22W fast charging.
All the three devices feature powerful processors, but the Vivo Nex S takes the cake with its bigger battery.
Oppo Find X vs Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus vs Vivo NEX S: Camera Features
Oppo Find X comes with16MP+20MP dual camera setup at the rear featuring AI tools such as AI-assisted scene recognition and more. There is a 25MP selfie snapper on the front with a f/2.0 aperture. Both the front and rear cameras are integrated into a motorized unit that is placed on the top panel of the device, which pops-up when the camera app is opened. The Galaxy S9 Plus, on the contrary, also has 16MP+20MP dual camera setup at the back and a 16MP front camera. The Vivo Nex S settles for a 12MP + 5MP dual-camera setup with 4-axis optical image stabilization and a f/1.8 aperture. It has a pop-up 8MP selfie camera at the front with a f/2.0 aperture.
In this segment, both Find X and Galaxy S9 Plus fair quite well with similar rear cameras. However, the Find X takes some margin with its 25MP front camera.

Going by the comparison made for each segment, all the three devices won in each. If you are looking for a flagship with a better camera then you can choose between the Galaxy S9 Plus and Oppo Find X. However, if you want a powerful Snapdragon processor backing your handset with a big battery, then the Vivo Nex S could very well make up for an ideal choice. For the ones, who want to buy a device within a week then they can settle for the Galaxy S9 Plus as it is the only phone in this comparison which is up for purchase in India. The Oppo Find X and Vivo Nex S are yet to debut in the country.
