Oppo today launched its flagship, the Find X in India. Now, after its arrival in the Indian smartphone market, the phone is going to compete with other flagships. In today’s comparison post we are pitting the three smartphones against each other – the Oppo Find X, Huawei P20 Pro, and the Apple iPhone 8 Plus. Let’s see which flagship takes the cherry.

The Oppo Find X price in India is Rs. 59,999 while the iPhone 8 Plus is currently retailing at Rs. 72,290 for the 64GB storage variant and Rs. 84,500 for the 256GB storage version. The Huawei P20 Pro is available at Rs. 64,999 in India.

Starting with the display, the Oppo Find X features a 6.42-inch full HD+ AMOLED notched display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Whereas, the Apple iPhone 8 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen bearing 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. The Huawei P20 Pro packs a 6.1-inch OLED FullView display with full-HD+ resolution at 1080×2240 pixels with 18:7:9 aspect ratio.
In this segment, the Oppo Find X takes the crown with a heavy margin, thanks to its higher screen resolution. Well, the iPhone 8 Plus comes last, which is also because it was launched months before the P20 Pro and the Find X.

Concerning performance, an octa-core Snapdragon 845 SoC with Adreno 630 GPU powers the Oppo Find X. The phone has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of non-expandable internal storage. On the software side, the Find X runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.1 and is powered by a 3730mAh battery with VOOC fast charging support.
The iPhone 8 Plus, on the other hand, is powered by a by Apple’s powerful A11 Bionic chip, which is integrated with Apple’s in-house GPU instead. The phone is available in 64GB and 256GB storage versions. Although Apple doesn’t officially mention RAM capacity on its iOS devices, third-party teardowns have revealed that the iPhone 8 Plus ships with 3GB of RAM. The device runs iOS 11.0.1 and is backed by a 2691mAh battery with Qi Wireless charging support.
The Huawei P20 Pro is powered by an octa-core Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC clubbed with 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of non-expandable inbuilt storage. The phone runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0. A 4000mAh battery backs the device with Huawei’s SuperCharge fast charging technology.
Both the Oppo Find X and the iPhone 8 Plus are powered by most powerful chipsets. However, the Find X has a better battery capacity than the iPhone 8 Plus.

Oppo Find X sports a 16MP+20MP dual camera setup at the rear with AI-assisted scene recognition feature and more. The phone packs a 25MP selfie shooter on the front with a f/2.0 aperture. Both the front and rear cameras are placed in a motorised unit that slides up and down when the camera app is under use, or the Face Unlock feature is being used.
The iPhone 8 Plus consists of a 12MP+12MP dual camera setup at the rear with f/1.8 and f/2.8 aperture, respectively. The rear cameras also include phase detection autofocus, 2x optical zoom, and quad-LED dual-tone flash. On the front, the phone features a 7MP selfie snapper with f/2.2 aperture.
The Huawei P20 Pro sports 8MP+40MP+20MP triple sensor. It is the industry’s first phone with triple camera setup at the rear. Together these three sensors enable light sensitivity up to ISO 102400, 10x digital zoom, 4D Predictive Focus, 6-axis stabilisation. On the front, the P20 Pro settles for a 24.8MP selfie shooter.
Clearly, the Huawei P20 Pro rises as a winner in this segment. The triple camera setup on the phone is superior than the other two phones in this comparison.

Well, the verdict also depends on whose side you are on? If you are an Apple fan then the iPhone 8 Plus could be an appropriate pick for you in this comparison, but we suggest to wait for the next lineup of iPhones before settling on this one. However, if you want to move to Android or are already an Android enthusiast then the Oppo Find X seems to be a better deal than the Huawei P20 Pro.
