Huawei is all set to launch its Nova series of smartphones in India. The latest devices in the Nova series include the Huawei Nova 3 and the Huawei Nova 3i. The Nova 3 will be launched in China on July 18. A few days ago, the Chinese e-commerce giant Vmall had listed the device on its platform, revealing the specifications of the smartphone ahead of launch. The Huawei Nova 3i will soon be launched in the Philippines.
Huawei Nova 3, Nova 3i: India Launch Date
Now it appears that Huawei wants to launch the Nova 3 and the Nova 3i in the Indian market. Amazon India has just confirmed the launch of the Huawei Nova series on July 26 through a teaser on its website. Let’s have a look at the features and the specifications of the Nova 3 and the Nova 3i.
Huawei Nova 3: Features, Specifications
The Huawei Nova 3 succeeds the Nova 2, and it has gained many new features over its successor, including the notched display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a faster processor. The Nova 3 features a 6.3-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution (2340×1080 pixels), 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 3D curved glass protection, 85% screen-to-body ratio, and a notch. The device sports a 16MP+24MP dual-camera setup with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, Bokeh Mode, and 4K video recording. At the front, it has a 24MP+2MP dual-camera, and it can capture images with background blur.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Kirin 970 processor with an octa-core CPU and Mali-G72 MP12 GPU. The device comes packed with 6GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to an additional 256GB). The smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2. Connectivity-wise, the device ships with a dual-SIM card slot, 4G+VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2+LE (with aptX and aptX HD), GPS, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone is powered by a 3750mAh battery that will have fast charging support. It measures 157.0×73.7×7.3mm and weighs 166g.
Huawei Nova 3i: Features, Specifications
The Huawei Nova 3i has a screen that’s similar to that of the Nova 3, but the Nova 3i will be the first phone to be powered by the company’s newer smartphone chipset: Kirin 710. It’s a 12nm processor and will feature the same AI features that were introduced with the Kirin 970 chipset. The chipset will also feature the GPU Turbo technology that Huawei recently unveiled. The phone will be available in two memory configurations: 4GB RAM+64GB storage and 6GB RAM+128GB storage.
The device will sport a 24MP+2MP dual front-facing camera and a 16MP+2MP dual rear-facing camera. The Nova 3i will also come with the 3D Qmoji feature, which is similar to Apple’s Animoji feature that was introduced with the Apple iPhone X (Review). It will be powered by a 3340mAh battery with 5V/2A charging. Nothing else is known about the Huawei Nova 3i as of now, but we will get to know more once the company launches it in a few days.
